1
கர்த்தர் தாவீதை அவனுடைய எல்லாச் சத்துருக்களின் கைக்கும், சவுலின் கைக்கும், நீங்கலாக்கி விடுவித்தபோது, அவன் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாகப் பாடின பாட்டு:
And David spake unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul:
2
கர்த்தர் என் கன்மலையும், என் கோட்டையும், என் இரட்சகருமானவர்.
And he said, The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
3
தேவன் நான் நம்பியிருக்கிற துருக்கமும், என் கேடகமும், என் இரட்சண்ணியக் கொம்பும், என் உயர்ந்த அடைக்கலமும், என் புகலிடமும், என் இரட்சகருமானவர்; என்னை வல்லடிக்கு நீங்கலாக்கி இரட்சிக்கிறவர் அவரே.
The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.

ஸ்துதிக்குப் பாத்திரராகிய கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுவேன்; அதனால் என் சத்துருக்களுக்கு நீங்கலாக்கி இரட்சிக்கப்படுவேன்.
I will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
5
மரண அலைகள் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்துகொண்டு, துர்ச்சனப்பிரவாகம் என்னைப் பயப்படுத்தினது.
When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me afraid;
6
பாதாளக் கட்டுகள் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்து கொண்டது; மரணக்கண்ணிகள் என்மேல் விழுந்தது.
The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me;
7
எனக்கு உண்டான நெருக்கத்திலே கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டு, என் தேவனை நோக்கி அபயமிட்டேன்; தமது ஆலயத்திலிருந்து என் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டார்; என் கூப்பிடுதல் அவர் செவிகளில் ஏறிற்று.
In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears.
8
அப்பொழுது பூமி அசைந்து அதிர்ந்தது; அவர் கோபங்கொண்டபடியால் வானத்தின் அஸ்திபாரங்கள் குலுங்கி அசைந்தது.
Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of heaven moved and shook, because he was wroth.

அவர் நாசியிலிருந்து பட்சிக்கிற புகை எழும்பிற்று, அவர் வாயிலிருந்து அக்கினி புறப்பட்டது, அதனால் தழல் மூண்டது.
There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.

வானங்களைத் தாழ்த்தி இறங்கினார்; அவர் பாதங்களின்கீழ் காரிருள் இருந்தது.
He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and darkness was under his feet.
11
கேருபீனின்மேல் ஏறி வேகமாய்ச் சென்றார். காற்றின் செட்டைகளின் மீதில் தரிசனமானார்.
And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: and he was seen upon the wings of the wind.
12
ஆகாயத்து மேகங்களிலே கூடிய தண்ணீர்களின் இருளைத் தம்மைச் சுற்றிலும் இருக்கும் கூடாரமாக்கினார்.
And he made darkness pavilions round about him, dark waters, and thick clouds of the skies.
13
அவருடைய சந்நிதிப் பிரகாசத்தினால் நெருப்புத்தழலும் எரிந்தது.
Through the brightness before him were coals of fire kindled.
14
கர்த்தர் வானத்திலிருந்து குமுறி, உன்னதமானவர் தமது சத்தத்தைத் தொனிக்கப்பண்ணினார்.
The LORD thundered from heaven, and the most High uttered his voice.
15
அவர் அம்புகளை எய்து, அவர்களைச் சிதற அடித்து, மின்னல்களைப் பிரயோகித்து, அவர்களைக் கலங்கப்பண்ணினார்.
And he sent out arrows, and scattered them; lightning, and discomfited them.
16
கர்த்தருடைய கண்டிதத்தினாலும், அவருடைய நாசியின் சுவாசக் காற்றினாலும் சமுத்திரத்தின் மதகுகள் திறவுண்டு, பூதலத்தின் அஸ்திபாரங்கள் காணப்பட்டது.
And the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were discovered, at the rebuking of the LORD, at the blast of the breath of his nostrils.
17
உயரத்திலிருந்து அவர் கை நீட்டி, என்னைப் பிடித்து, ஜலப்பிரவாகத்திலிருக்கிற என்னைத் தூக்கிவிட்டார்.
He sent from above, he took me; he drew me out of many waters;
18
என்னிலும் பலவான்களாயிருந்த என் பலத்த சத்துருவுக்கும் என் பகைஞருக்கும் என்னை விடுவித்தார்.
He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them that hated me: for they were too strong for me.
19
என் ஆபத்து நாளிலே எனக்கு எதிரிட்டு வந்தார்கள்; கர்த்தரோ எனக்கு ஆதரவாயிருந்தார்.
They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.
20
என்மேல் அவர் பிரியமாயிருந்தபடியால், விசாலமான இடத்திலே என்னைக் கொண்டுவந்து, என்னைத் தப்புவித்தார்.
He brought me forth also into a large place: he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
21
கர்த்தர் என் நீதிக்குத்தக்கதாக எனக்குப் பதில் அளித்தார்; என் கைகளின் சுத்தத்திற்குத்தக்கதாக எனக்குச் சரிக்கட்டினார்.
The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness: according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
22
கர்த்தருடைய வழிகளைக் காத்துக்கொண்டுவந்தேன்; நான் என் தேவனுக்குத் துரோகம் பண்ணினதில்லை.
For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
23
அவருடைய நியாயங்களையெல்லாம் எனக்கு முன்பாக நிறுத்தினேன்; நான் அவருடைய பிரமாணங்களை விட்டு விலகாமல்,
For all his judgments were before me: and as for his statutes, I did not depart from them.
24
அவர் முன்பாக மனஉண்மையாயிருந்து, என் துர்க்குணத்திற்கு என்னை விலக்கிக் காத்துக்கொண்டேன்.
I was also upright before him, and have kept myself from mine iniquity.
25
ஆகையால் கர்த்தர் என் நீதிக்குத் தக்கதாகவும், தம்முடைய கண்களுக்கு முன் இருக்கிற என் சுத்தத்திற்குத்தக்கதாகவும் எனக்குப் பலனளித்தார்.
Therefore the LORD hath recompensed me according to my righteousness; according to my cleanness in his eye sight.
26
தயவுள்ளவனுக்கு நீர் தயவுள்ளவராகவும், உத்தமனுக்கு நீர் உத்தமராகவும்,
With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful, and with the upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright.
27
புனிதனுக்கு நீர் புனிதராகவும், மாறுபாடானவனுக்கு நீர் மாறுபடுகிறவராகவும் தோன்றுவீர்.
With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself unsavoury.
28
சிறுமைப்பட்ட ஜனத்தை இரட்சிப்பீர்; மேட்டிமையானவர்களைத் தாழ்த்த, உம்முடைய கண்கள் அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாய்த் திருப்பப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.
And the afflicted people thou wilt save: but thine eyes are upon the haughty, that thou mayest bring them down.
29
கர்த்தராகிய தேவரீர் என் விளக்காயிருக்கிறீர்; கர்த்தர் என் இருளை வெளிச்சமாக்குகிறவர்.
For thou art my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness.
30
உம்மாலே நான் ஒரு சேனைக்குள் பாய்ந்துபோவேன்; என் தேவனாலே ஒரு மதிலைத் தாண்டுவேன்.
For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall.
31
தேவனுடைய வழி உத்தமமானது; கர்த்தருடைய வசனம் புடமிடப்பட்டது; தம்மை நம்புகிற அனைவருக்கும் அவர் கேடகமாயிருக்கிறார்.
As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
32
கர்த்தரை அல்லாமல் தேவன் யார்? நம்முடைய தேவனையன்றி கன்மலையும் யார்?
For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?
33
தேவன் எனக்குப் பலத்த அரணானவர்; அவர் என் வழியைச் செவ்வைப்படுத்துகிறவர்.
God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.
34
அவர் என் கால்களை மான்களுடைய கால்களைப்போலாக்கி, என் உயர்தலங்களில் என்னை நிறுத்துகிறார்.
He maketh my feet like hinds' feet: and setteth me upon my high places.
35
வெண்கல வில்லும் என் புயங்களால் வளையும்படி, என் கைகளை யுத்தத்திற்குப் பழக்குவிக்கிறார்.
He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
36
உம்முடைய இரட்சிப்பின் கேடகத்தையும் எனக்குத் தந்தீர்; உம்முடைய காருணியம் என்னைப் பெரியவனாக்கும்.
Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me great.
37
என் கால்கள் வழுவாதபடிக்கு நான் நடக்கிற வழியை அகலமாக்கினீர்.
Thou hast enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip.
38
என் சத்துருக்களைப் பின்தொடர்ந்து அவர்களை அழிப்பேன்; அவர்களை நிர்மூலமாக்கும்வரைக்கும் திரும்பேன்.
I have pursued mine enemies, and destroyed them; and turned not again until I had consumed them.
39
அவர்கள் எழுந்திருக்கமாட்டாதபடிக்கு என் பாதங்களின் கீழ் விழுந்தார்கள்; அவர்களை முறிய அடித்து வெட்டினேன்.
And I have consumed them, and wounded them, that they could not arise: yea, they are fallen under my feet.
40
யுத்தத்திற்கு நீர் என்னைப் பலத்தால் இடைகட்டி, என்மேல் எழும்பினவர்களை என்கீழ் மடங்கப்பண்ணினீர்.
For thou hast girded me with strength to battle: them that rose up against me hast thou subdued under me.
41
நான் என் பகைஞரைச் சங்கரிக்கும்படியாக, என் சத்துருக்களின் பிடரியை எனக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தீர்.
Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me.
42
அவர்கள் நோக்கிப் பார்க்கிறார்கள், அவர்களை இரட்சிப்பார் ஒருவருமில்லை; கர்த்தரை நோக்கிப் பார்க்கிறார்கள், அவர்களுக்கு அவர் உத்தரவு கொடுக்கிறதில்லை.
They looked, but there was none to save; even unto the LORD, but he answered them not.
43
அவர்களை பூமியின் தூளாக இடித்து, தெருக்களின் சேற்றைப்போல அவர்களை மிதித்து சிதறப்பண்ணுகிறேன்.
Then did I beat them as small as the dust of the earth, I did stamp them as the mire of the street, and did spread them abroad.
44
என் ஜனத்தின் சண்டைகளுக்கு நீர் என்னை விலக்கிவிட்டு, ஜாதிகளுக்கு என்னைத் தலைவனாக வைக்கிறீர்; நான் அறியாத ஜனங்கள் என்னைச் சேவிக்கிறார்கள்.
Thou also hast delivered me from the strivings of my people, thou hast kept me to be head of the heathen: a people which I knew not shall serve me.
45
அந்நியர் இச்சகம் பேசி எனக்கு அடங்கி, என் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டவுடனே எனக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிகிறார்கள்.
Strangers shall submit themselves unto me: as soon as they hear, they shall be obedient unto me.
46
அந்நியர் முனைவிழுந்துபோய், தங்கள் அரண்களிலிருந்து தத்தளிப்பாய்ப் புறப்படுகிறார்கள்.
Strangers shall fade away, and they shall be afraid out of their close places.
47
கர்த்தர் ஜீவனுள்ளவர்; என் கன்மலையானவர் ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கப்படுவாராக; என் இரட்சிப்பின் கன்மலையாகிய தேவன் உயர்ந்திருப்பாராக.
The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.
48
அவர் எனக்காகப் பழிக்குப் பழி வாங்கி, ஜனங்களை எனக்குக் கீழ்ப்படுத்துகிற தேவனானவர்.
It is God that avengeth me, and that bringeth down the people under me,
49
அவரே என் சத்துருக்களுக்கு என்னை விலக்கி விடுவிக்கிறவர்; எனக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்புகிறவர்கள்மேல் என்னை உயர்த்திக் கொடுமையான மனுஷனுக்கு என்னைத் தப்புவிக்கிறீர்.
And that bringeth me forth from mine enemies: thou also hast lifted me up on high above them that rose up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.
50
இதினிமித்தம் கர்த்தாவே, ஜாதிகளுக்குள் உம்மைத் துதித்து, உம்முடைய நாமத்திற்குச் சங்கீதம் பாடுவேன்.
Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name.
51
தாம் ஏற்படுத்தின ராஜாவுக்கு மகத்தான இரட்சிப்பை அளித்து, தாம் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணின தாவீதுக்கும் அவன் சந்ததிக்கும் சதாகாலமும் கிருபை செய்கிறார்.
He is the tower of salvation for his king: and sheweth mercy to his anointed, unto David, and to his seed for evermore.

2கொரிந்தியர் அத்தியாயம் 7

1
இப்படிப்பட்ட வாக்குத்தத்தங்கள் நமக்கு உண்டாயிருக்கிறபடியினால், பிரியமானவர்களே, மாம்சத்திலும் ஆவியிலும் உண்டான எல்லா அசுசியும் நீங்க, நம்மைச் சுத்திகரித்துக்கொண்டு, பரிசுத்தமாகுதலை தேவபயத்தோடே பூரணப்படுத்தக்கடவோம்.
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
2
எங்களுக்கு இடங்கொடுங்கள்; நாங்கள் ஒருவனுக்கும் அநியாயஞ்செய்யவில்லை, ஒருவனையும் கெடுக்கவில்லை, ஒருவனையும் வஞ்சிக்கவில்லை.
Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man.
3
உங்களைக் குற்றவாளிகளாக்கும் பொருட்டாக இப்படி நான் சொல்லுகிறதில்லை; முன்னே நான் சொல்லியபடி, உங்களுடனேகூடச் சாகவும் கூடப் பிழைக்கவுந்தக்கதாக எங்களிருதயங்களில் நீங்கள் இருக்கிறீர்களே.
I speak not this to condemn you: for I have said before, that ye are in our hearts to die and live with you.

மிகுந்த தைரியத்தோடே உங்களுடன் பேசுகிறேன்; உங்களைக்குறித்து மிகவும் மேன்மைபாராட்டுகிறேன், ஆறுதலால் நிறைந்திருக்கிறேன். எங்களுக்கு உண்டான சகல உபத்திரவத்திலேயும் பரிபூரண சந்தோஷமாயிருக்கிறேன்.
Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.

எப்படியென்றால், நாங்கள் மக்கெதோனியா நாட்டிலே வந்தபோது, எங்கள் சரீரத்திற்கு இளைப்பாறுதல் ஒன்றுமில்லாமல், எப்பக்கத்திலேயும் உபத்திரவப்பட்டோம்; புறம்பே போராட்டங்களும், உள்ளே பயங்களும் இருந்தன.
For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears.

ஆகிலும், சிறுமைப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு ஆறுதல் செய்கிற தேவன் தீத்து வந்ததினாலே எங்களுக்கு ஆறுதல்செய்தார்.
Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;

அவன் வந்ததினாலேமாத்திரமல்ல, உங்கள் வாஞ்சையையும், உங்கள் துக்கிப்பையும், என்னைப்பற்றி உங்களுக்கு உண்டான பக்திவைராக்கியத்தையும் அவன் கண்டு, உங்களால் அடைந்த ஆறுதலைத் தெரியப்படுத்தினதினாலும், நானும் ஆறுதலடைந்து அதிகமாய்ச் சந்தோஷப்பட்டேன்.
And not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more.

ஆதலால் நான் நிருபத்தினாலே உங்களைத் துக்கப்படுத்தியிருந்தும், அந்த நிருபம் கொஞ்சப்பொழுதாகிலும் உங்களைத் துக்கப்படுத்தினதென்று கண்டு நான் மனஸ்தாபப்பட்டிருந்தும், இப்பொழுது மனஸ்தாபப்படுதிறதில்லை.
For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season.

இப்பொழுது சந்தோஷப்படுகிறேன்; நீங்கள் துக்கப்பட்டதற்காக அல்ல, மனந்திரும்புகிறதற்கேதுவாகத் துக்கப்பட்டதற்காகவே சந்தோஷப்படுகிறேன்; நீங்கள் ஒன்றிலும் எங்களால் நஷ்டப்படாதபடிக்கு, தேவனுக்கேற்ற துக்கம் அடைந்தீர்களே.
Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.

தேவனுக்கேற்ற துக்கம் பின்பு மனஸ்தாபப்படுகிறதற்கு இடமில்லாமல் இரட்சிப்புக்கேதுவான மனந்திரும்புதலை உண்டாக்குகிறது; லெளகிக துக்கமோ மரணத்தை உண்டாக்குகிறது.
For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
11
பாருங்கள், நீங்கள் தேவனுக்கேற்ற துக்கமடைந்ததுண்டே; அது உங்களிடத்தில் எவ்வளவு ஜாக்கிரதையையும், குற்றந்தீர எவ்வளவு நியாயஞ்சொல்லுதலையும், எவ்வளவு வெறுப்பையும், எவ்வளவு பயத்தையும், எவ்வளவு ஆவலையும், எவ்வளவு பக்திவைராக்கியத்தையும், எவ்வளவு கண்டிப்பையும் உண்டாக்கிற்று. இந்தக் காரியத்திலே நீங்கள் எல்லாவிதத்திலும் உங்களைச் சுத்தவான்களென்று விளங்கப்பண்ணினீர்கள்.
For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.

ஆதலால் நான் உங்களுக்கு அப்படி எழுதியிருந்தும், அநியாயஞ்செய்தவனிமித்தமுமல்ல, அநியாயஞ்செய்யப்பட்டவனிமித்தமுமல்ல, தேவனுக்கு முன்பாக உங்களைக்குறித்து எங்களுக்கு உண்டாயிருக்கிற ஜாக்கிரதை உங்களுக்கு வெளிப்படும் பொருட்டே அப்படி எழுதினேன்.
Wherefore, though I wrote unto you, I did it not for his cause that had done the wrong, nor for his cause that suffered wrong, but that our care for you in the sight of God might appear unto you.

இதினிமித்தம் நீங்கள் ஆறுதலடைந்ததினாலே நாங்களும் ஆறுதலடைந்தோம்; விசேஷமாகத் தீத்துவினுடைய ஆவி உங்கள் அனைவராலும் ஆறுதலைடந்ததினாலே, அவனுக்கு உண்டான சந்தோஷத்தினால் அதிக சந்தோஷப்பட்டோம்.
Therefore we were comforted in your comfort: yea, and exceedingly the more joyed we for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all.

இப்படியிருக்க, உங்களுக்குப் புகழ்ச்சியாய் நான் அவனுடனே சொன்ன யாதொன்றைக்குறித்தும் வெட்கப்படமாட்டேன்; நாங்கள் சகலத்தையும் உங்களுக்குச் சத்தியமாய்ச் சொன்னதுபோல, தீத்துவுடனே நாங்கள் உங்களுக்குப் புகழ்ச்சியாய்ச் சொன்னதும் சத்தியமாக விளங்கிற்றே.
For if I have boasted any thing to him of you, I am not ashamed; but as we spake all things to you in truth, even so our boasting, which I made before Titus, is found a truth.
15
மேலும் நீங்களெல்லாரும் கட்டளைக்கு அமைந்து, பயத்தோடும் நடுக்கத்தோடும் தன்னை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டதை அவன் நினைக்கையில், அவனுடைய உள்ளம் உங்களைப்பற்றி அதிக அன்பாயிருக்கிறது.
And his inward affection is more abundant toward you, whilst he remembereth the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling ye received him.
16
ஆகையால் எல்லாவிதத்திலும் உங்களைக்குறித்து எனக்குத் திடநம்பிக்கை உண்டாயிருக்கிறதென்று சந்தோஷப்படுகிறேன்.
I rejoice therefore that I have confidence in you in all things.

2கொரிந்தியர் அத்தியாயம் 8

1
அன்றியும் சகோதரரே, மக்கெதோனியா நாட்டுச் சபைகளுக்குத் தேவன் அளித்த கிருபையை உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கிறோம்.
Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;
2
அவர்கள் மிகுந்த உபத்திரவத்தினாலே சோதிக்கப்படுகையில், கொடிய தரித்திரமுடையவர்களாயிருந்தும், தங்கள் பரிபூரண சந்தோஷத்தினாலே மிகுந்த உதாரத்துவமாய்க் கொடுத்தார்கள்.
How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.
3
மேலும் அவர்கள் தங்கள் திராணிக்குத்தக்கதாகவும், தங்கள் திராணிக்கு மிஞ்சியும் கொடுக்க, தாங்களே மனதுள்ளவர்களாயிருந்தார்களென்பதற்கு, நான் சாட்சியாயிருக்கிறேன்.
For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;

தங்கள் உபகாரத்தையும், பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்குச் செய்யப்படும் தர்ம ஊழியத்தின்பங்கையும் நாங்கள் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும்படி அவர்கள் எங்களை மிகவும் வேண்டிக்கொண்டார்கள்.
Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.
5
மேலும் நாங்கள் நினைத்தபடிமாத்திரம் கொடாமல், தேவனுடைய சித்தத்தினாலே முன்பு தங்களைத்தாமே கர்த்தருக்கும், பின்பு எங்களுக்கும் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்கள்.
And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

ஆதலால் தீத்து இந்தத் தர்மகாரியத்தை உங்களிடத்தில் தொடங்கினபடியே, அதை முடிக்கவும் வேண்டுமென்று அவனைக் கேட்டுக்கொண்டோம்.
Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also.

அல்லாமலும், விசுவாசத்திலும், போதிப்பிலும், அறிவிலும், எல்லாவித ஜாக்கிரதையிலும், எங்கள்மேலுள்ள உங்கள் அன்பிலும், மற்றெல்லாக் காரியங்களிலும், நீங்கள் பெருகியிருக்கிறதுபோல, இந்தத் தர்மகாரியத்திலும் பெருகவேண்டும்.
Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.

இதை நான் கட்டளையாகச் சொல்லாமல், மற்றவர்களுடைய ஜாக்கிரதையைக்கொண்டு, உங்கள் அன்பின் உண்மையைச் சோதிக்கும்பொருட்டே சொல்லுகிறேன்.
I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.

நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் கிருபையை அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்களே; அவர் ஐசுவரியமுள்ளவராயிருந்தும், நீங்கள் அவருடைய தரித்திரத்தினாலே ஐசுவரியவான்களாகும்படிக்கு, உங்கள்நிமித்தம் தரித்திரரானாரே.
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

இதைக்குறித்து என் யோசனையை உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கிறேன்; இதைச் செய்கிறதற்கு மாத்திரமல்ல, செய்யவேண்டுமென்று உற்சாகப்படுகிறதற்கும் ஒரு வருஷமாய் ஆரம்பம்பண்ணின உங்களுக்கு இது தகுதியாயிருக்கும்.
And herein I give my advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a year ago.

ஆகையால் அதை இப்பொழுது செய்து நிறைவேற்றுங்கள்; கொடுக்கவேண்டும் என்கிற விருப்பமுண்டாயிருந்ததுபோல, உங்களுக்கு உள்ளவைகளில் எடுத்து அதை நிறைவேற்றுதலும் உண்டாவதாக.
Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have.

ஒருவனுக்கு மனவிருப்பமிருந்தால், அவனுக்கு இல்லாததின்படியல்ல, அவனுக்கு உள்ளதின்படியே அங்கிகரிக்கப்படும்.
For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.

மற்றவர்களுக்குச் சகாயமும் உங்களுக்கு வருத்தமும் உண்டாகும்படியல்ல, சமநிலையிருக்கும்படியாகவே சொல்லுகிறேன்.
For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened:
14
எப்படியெனில், மிகுதியாய்ச் சேர்த்தவனுக்கு அதிகமானதுமில்லை, கொஞ்சமாய்ச் சேர்த்தவனுக்குக் குறைவானதுமில்லை என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறபிரகாரம்,
But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality:
15
சமநிலைப் பிரமாணத்தின்படியே, அவர்களுடைய செல்வம் உங்கள் வறுமைக்கு உதவும்படிக்கு இக்காலத்திலே உங்களுடைய செல்வம் அவர்களுடைய வறுமைக்கு உதவுவதாக.
As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.
16
அன்றியும் உங்களுக்காக இப்படிப்பட்ட ஜாக்கிரதை உண்டாயிருக்கும்படி தீத்துவின் இருதயத்தில் அருளின தேவனுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம்.
But thanks be to God, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you.

நாங்கள் கேட்டுக்கொண்டதை அவன் அங்கிகரித்ததுமல்லாமல், அவன் அதிக ஜாக்கிரதையாயிருந்து, தன் மனவிருப்பத்தின்படியே உங்களிடத்திற்கு வரப் புறப்பட்டான்.
For indeed he accepted the exhortation; but being more forward, of his own accord he went unto you.
18
சுவிசேஷ ஊழியத்தில் எல்லாச் சபைகளிலும் புகழ்ச்சிபெற்ற ஒரு சகோதரனை அவனோடேகூட அனுப்பியிருக்கிறோம்.
And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches;
19
அதுமாத்திரமல்ல, கர்த்தருக்கு மகிமையுண்டாகவும், உங்கள் மனவிருப்பம் விளங்கவும், எங்கள் ஊழியத்தினாலே சேர்க்கப்படும் தர்மப்பணத்தைக் கொண்டுபோகையில், எங்களுக்கு வழித்துணையாயிருக்கும்படி, அவன் சபைகளால் தெரிந்து ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டவனாயும் இருக்கிறான்.
And not that only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and declaration of your ready mind:
20
எங்கள் ஊழியத்தினாலே சேர்க்கப்படும் இந்த மிகுதியான தர்மப்பணத்தைக்குறித்து ஒருவனும் எங்களைக் குற்றப்படுத்தாதபடிக்கு நாங்கள் எச்சரிக்கையாயிருந்து,
Avoiding this, that no man should blame us in this abundance which is administered by us:
21
கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக மாத்திரமல்ல, மனுஷருக்கு முன்பாகவும் யோக்கியமானவைகளைச் செய்ய நாடுகிறோம்.
Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
22
மேலும், அநேக காரியங்களில் ஜாக்கிரதையுள்ளவனென்று நாங்கள் பலமுறை கண்டறிந்தவனும், இப்பொழுது உங்கள்மேலுள்ள மிகுந்த நம்பிக்கையினாலே அதிக ஜாக்கிரதையுள்ளவனுமாகிய நம்முடைய சகோதரனையும் இவர்களோடேகூட அனுப்பியிருக்கிறோம்.
And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, upon the great confidence which I have in you.

தீத்துவைக்குறித்து ஒருவன் விசாரித்தால், அவன் எனக்குக் கூட்டாளியும், உங்களுக்காக என் உடன்வேலையாளுமாயிருக்கிறானென்றும்; எங்கள் சகோதரரைக்குறித்து ஒருவன் விசாரித்தால், அவர்கள் சபைகளுடைய ஸ்தானாபதிகளும், கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு மகிமையுமாயிருக்கிறார்களென்றும் அறியக்கடவன்.
Whether any do enquire of Titus, he is my partner and fellowhelper concerning you: or our brethren be enquired of, they are the messengers of the churches, and the glory of Christ.

ஆதலால் உங்கள் அன்பையும், நாங்கள் உங்களைக்குறித்துச் சொன்ன புகழ்ச்சியையும், சபைகளுக்கு முன்பாக அவர்களுக்குத் திருஷ்டாந்தப்படுத்துங்கள்.
Wherefore shew ye to them, and before the churches, the proof of your love, and of our boasting on your behalf.
