2சாமுவேல் அத்தியாயம் 7

கர்த்தர் ராஜாவைச் சுற்றிலும் இருந்த அவனுடைய எல்லாச் சத்துருக்களுக்கும் அவனை நீங்கலாக்கி, இளைப்பாறப்பண்ணினபோது, அவன் தன் வீட்டிலே வாசமாயிருக்கையில்,

And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the LORD had given him rest round about from all his enemies;

ராஜா தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய நாத்தானை நோக்கி: பாரும், கேதுரு மரங்களால் செய்யப்பட்ட வீட்டிலே நான் வாசம்பண்ணும்போது, தேவனுடைய பெட்டி திரைகளின் நடுவே வாசமாயிருக்கிறதே என்றான்.

That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.

அப்பொழுது நாத்தான் ராஜாவை நோக்கி: நீர் போய் உம்முடைய இருதயத்தில் உள்ளபடியெல்லாம் செய்யும்; கர்த்தர் உம்மோடு இருக்கிறாரே என்றான்.

And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in thine heart; for the LORD is with thee.

அன்று இராத்திரியிலே கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை நாத்தானுக்கு உண்டாகி, அவர்:

And it came to pass that night, that the word of the LORD came unto Nathan, saying,

நீ போய் என் தாசனாகிய தாவீதை நோக்கி: கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால், நான் வாசமாயிருக்கத்தக்க ஆலயத்தை நீ எனக்குக் கட்டுவாயோ?

Go and tell my servant David, Thus saith the LORD, Shalt thou build me an house for me to dwell in?

நான் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணின நாள்முதற்கொண்டு இந்நாள்வரைக்கும், நான் ஒரு ஆலயத்திலே வாசம்பண்ணாமல், கூடாரத்திலும் வாசஸ்தலத்திலும் உலாவினேன்.

Whereas I have not dwelt in any house since the time that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle.

நான் இஸ்ரவேலாகிய என் ஜனத்தை மேய்க்கும்படி கட்டளையிட்ட இஸ்ரவேல் கோத்திரங்களில் ஒரு கோத்திரத்தையாவது நோக்கி: நீங்கள் எனக்குக் கேதுரு மரத்தால் செய்யப்பட்ட ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டாதிருக்கிறது என்ன என்று நான் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குள் உலாவி வந்த எவ்விடத்திலாவது யாதொரு வார்த்தையைச் சொன்னதுண்டோ?

In all the places wherein I have walked with all the children of Israel spake I a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why build ye not me an house of cedar?

இப்போதும் நீ என் தாசனாகிய தாவீதை நோக்கி: சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால், நீ இஸ்ரவேல் என்கிற என் ஜனங்களுக்கு அதிபதியாயிருக்கும்படி, ஆடுகளின் பின்னே நடந்த உன்னை நான் ஆட்டுமந்தையை விட்டுஎடுத்து,

Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:

நீ போன எவ்விடத்திலும் உன்னோடே இருந்து, உன் சத்துருக்களையெல்லாம் உனக்கு முன்பாக நிர்மூலமாக்கி, பூமியிலிருக்கிற பெரியோர்களின் நாமத்திற்கு ஒத்த பெரிய நாமத்தை உனக்கு உண்டாக்கினேன்.

And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.

நான் என் ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு ஒரு இடத்தை ஏற்படுத்தி, அவர்கள் தங்கள் ஸ்தானத்திலே குடியிருக்கவும், இனி அவர்கள் அலையாமலும், முன்போலும், நான் என் ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் நியாயாதிபதிகளைக் கட்டளையிட்ட நாள்வரையில் நடந்ததுபோலும், நியாயக்கேட்டின் மக்களால் இனிச் சிறுமைப்படாமலும் இருக்கும்படி அவர்களை நாட்டினேன்.

Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime,

உன்னுடைய எல்லாச் சத்துருக்களுக்கும் உன்னை நீங்கலாக்கி, இளைப்பாறவும் பண்ணினேன்; இப்போதும் கர்த்தர் உனக்கு வீட்டை உண்டுபண்ணுவார் என்பதைக் கர்த்தர் உனக்கு அறிவிக்கிறார்.

And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies. Also the LORD telleth thee that he will make thee an house.

உன் நாட்கள் நிறைவேறி, நீ உன் பிதாக்களோடே நித்திரைப்பண்ணும்போது, நான் உனக்குப்பின்பு உன் கர்ப்பப்பிறப்பாகிய உன் சந்ததியை எழும்பப்பண்ணி, அவன் ராஜ்யத்தை நிலைப்படுத்துவேன்.

And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.

அவன் என் நாமத்திற்கென்று ஒரு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுவான்; அவன் ராஜ்யபாரத்தின் சிங்காசனத்தை என்றைக்கும் நிலைக்கப்பண்ணுவேன்.

He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.

நான் அவனுக்குப் பிதாவாயிருப்பேன், அவன் எனக்குக் குமாரனாயிருப்பான்; அவன் அக்கிரமம் செய்தால், நான் அவனை மனுஷருடைய மிலாற்றினாலும் மனுபுத்திரருடைய அடிகளினாலும் தண்டிப்பேன்.

I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:

உனக்கு முன்பாக நான் தள்ளிவிட்ட சவுலிடத்திலிருந்து என் கிருபையை விலக்கினதுபோல அவனைவிட்டு விலக்கமாட்டேன்.

But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee.

உன் வீடும், உன் ராஜ்யமும், என்றென்றைக்கும் உனக்கு முன்பாக ஸ்திரப்பட்டிருக்கும்; உன் ராஜாசனம் என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைபெற்றிருக்கும் என்கிறார் என்று சொல்லச்சொன்னார்.

And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.

நாத்தான் இந்த எல்லா வார்த்தைகளின்படியும், இந்த எல்லாத் தரிசனத்தின்படியும், தாவீதுக்குச் சொன்னான்.

According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.

அப்பொழுது தாவீது ராஜா உட்பிரவேசித்து, கர்த்தருடைய சமுகத்திலிருந்து: கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவரே, தேவரீர் என்னை இதுவரைக்கும் கொண்டுவந்ததற்கு, நான் எம்மாத்திரம்? என் வீடும் எம்மாத்திரம்?

Then went king David in, and sat before the LORD, and he said, Who am I, O Lord GOD? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?

கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவரே, இது இன்னும் உம்முடைய பார்வைக்குக் கொஞ்ச காரியமாயிருக்கிறது என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவராயிருக்கிற தேவரீர் உம்முடைய அடியானுடைய வீட்டைக் குறித்து, வெகுதூரமாயிருக்கும் காலத்துச்செய்தியை மனுஷர் முறைமையாய்ச் சொன்னீரே.

And this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord GOD; but thou hast spoken also of thy servant's house for a great while to come. And is this the manner of man, O Lord GOD?

இனி தாவீது உம்மிடத்தில் சொல்லவேண்டியது என்ன? கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவராயிருக்கிற நீர் உமது அடியானை அறிவீர்.

And what can David say more unto thee? for thou, Lord GOD, knowest thy servant.

உம்முடைய வாக்குத்தத்தத்தினிமித்தமும், உம்முடைய சித்தத்தின்படியேயும், இந்தப் பெரிய காரியங்களையெல்லாம் உமது அடியானுக்கு அறிவிக்கும்படிக்குத் தயவு செய்தீர்.

For thy word's sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all these great things, to make thy servant know them.

ஆகையால் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரே, நீர் பெரியவர் என்று விளங்குகிறது; நாங்கள் எங்கள் காதுகளாலே கேட்ட சகல காரியங்களின்படியும், தேவரீருக்கு நிகரானவர் இல்லை; உம்மைத்தவிர வேறே தேவனும் இல்லை.

Wherefore thou art great, O LORD God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

உம்முடைய ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு நிகரான ஜனமும் உண்டோ? பூலோகத்து ஜாதிகளில் இந்த ஒரே ஜாதியைத் தேவன் தமக்கு ஜனமாக மீட்கிறதற்கும், தமக்குக் கீர்த்தி விளங்கப்பண்ணுகிறதற்கும் ஏற்பட்டாரே; தேவரீர் எகிப்திலிருந்து மீட்டுக்கொண்டு வந்த உம்முடைய ஜனத்திற்கு முன்பாகப் பயங்கரமான பெரிய காரியங்களை நடத்தி, உம்முடைய தேசத்திற்கும், அதிலிருந்த ஜாதிகளுக்கும், அவர்கள் தேவர்களுக்கும், உமது மகிமையை விளங்கச்செய்து,

And what one nation in the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for thy land, before thy people, which thou redeemedst to thee from Egypt, from the nations and their gods?

உம்முடைய ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலர் என்றைக்கும் உம்முடைய ஜனமாயிருப்பதற்கு, அவர்களைத் திடப்படுத்தி, கர்த்தராகிய நீர்தாமே அவர்களுக்குத் தேவனானீர்.

For thou hast confirmed to thyself thy people Israel to be a people unto thee for ever: and thou, LORD, art become their God.

இப்போதும் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, நீர் உமது அடியானையும் அவன் வீட்டையும் குறித்துச் சொன்ன வார்த்தையை என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைவரப்படுத்த, தேவரீர் சொன்னபடியே செய்தருளும்.

And now, O LORD God, the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, establish it for ever, and do as thou hast said.

அப்படியே சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் தேவனானவர் என்று சொல்லி, உம்முடைய நாமம் என்றென்றைக்கும் மகிமைப்படுவதாக; உமது அடியானாகிய தாவீதின் வீடு உமக்கு முன்பாக நிலைநிற்பதாக.

And let thy name be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God over Israel: and let the house of thy servant David be established before thee.

உனக்கு வீடுகட்டுவேன் என்று இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தராயிருக்கிற நீர் உமது அடியானின் செவிக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தினீர்: ஆகையால் உம்மை நோக்கி இந்த விண்ணப்பத்தைச் செய்ய உமது அடியானுக்கு மனத்தைரியம் கிடைத்தது.

For thou, O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, hast revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto thee.

இப்போதும் கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவரே, நீரே தேவன்; உம்முடைய வார்த்தைகள் சத்தியம்; தேவரீர் உமது அடியானுக்கு இந்த நல்விசேஷங்களை வாக்குத்தத்தம்பண்ணினீர்.

And now, O Lord GOD, thou art that God, and thy words be true, and thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:

இப்போதும் உமது அடியானின் வீடு என்றைக்கும் உமக்கு முன்பாக இருக்கும்படி அதை ஆசீர்வதித்தருளும்; கர்த்தரான ஆண்டவராகிய தேவரீர் அதைச் சொன்னீர், உம்முடைய ஆசீர்வாதத்தினாலே உமது அடியானின் வீடு என்றைக்கும் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டிருப்பதாக என்றான்.

Therefore now let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O Lord GOD, hast spoken it: and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever.

2சாமுவேல் அத்தியாயம் 8

இதற்குப் பின்பு தாவீது பெலிஸ்தரை முறிய அடித்து, அவர்களைக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தி, மேத்தேக் அம்மாவைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டான்.

And after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them: and David took Methegammah out of the hand of the Philistines.

அவன் மோவாபியரையும் முறிய அடித்து, அவர்களைத் தரைமட்டும் பணியப்பண்ணி, அவர்கள்மேல் நூல்போட்டு, இரண்டு பங்கு மனுஷரைக் கொன்றுபோட்டு, ஒரு பங்கை உயிரோடே வைத்தான்; இவ்விதமாய் மோவாபியர் தாவீதைச் சேவித்து, அவனுக்குக் கப்பங்கட்டுகிறவர்களானார்கள்.

And he smote Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground; even with two lines measured he to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive. And so the Moabites became David's servants, and brought gifts.

ரேகோபின் குமாரனாகிய ஆதாதேசர் என்னும் சோபாவின் ராஜா ஐபிராத்து நதியண்டையில் இருக்கிற சீமையைத் திரும்பத் தன் வசமாக்கிக்கொள்ளப்போகையில், தாவீது அவனையும் முறிய அடித்து,

David smote also Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his border at the river Euphrates.

அவனுக்கு இருந்த இராணுவத்தில் ஆயிரத்து எழுநூறு குதிரைவீரரையும், இருபதினாயிரம் காலாட்களையும் பிடித்து, இரதங்களில் நூறு இரதங்களை வைத்துக்கொண்டு, மற்றவைகளையெல்லாம் துண்டாடிப்போட்டான்.

And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for an hundred chariots.

சோபாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆதாதேசருக்கு உதவிசெய்ய தமஸ்குப் பட்டணத்தாராகிய சீரியர் வந்தார்கள்; தாவீது சீரியரில் இருபத்தீராயிரம்பேரை வெட்டிப்போட்டு,

And when the Syrians of Damascus came to succour Hadadezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.

தமஸ்குக்கடுத்த சீரியாவிலே தாணையங்களை வைத்தான்; சீரியர் தாவீதைச் சேவித்து, அவனுக்குக் கப்பங்கட்டினார்கள்; தாவீது போன இடத்திலெல்லாம், கர்த்தர் அவனைக் காப்பாற்றினார்.

Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus: and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought gifts. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.

ஆதாதேசரின் சேவகருடைய பொற்பரிசைகளைத் தாவீது எடுத்து, அவைகளை எருசலேமுக்குக் கொண்டுவந்தான்.

And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.

ஆதாதேசரின் பட்டணங்களாகிய பேத்தாகிலும் பேரொத்தாயிலுமிருந்து தாவீது ராஜா மகா திரளான வெண்கலத்தையும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு வந்தான்.

And from Betah, and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, king David took exceeding much brass.

தாவீது ஆதாதேசருடைய எல்லா இராணுவத்தையும் முறிய அடித்த செய்தியை ஆமாத்தின் ராஜாவாகிய தோயீ கேட்டபோது,

When Toi king of Hamath heard that David had smitten all the host of Hadadezer,

ஆதாதேசர் தோயீயின்மேல் எப்போதும் யுத்தம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டிருந்தபடியால், ராஜாவாகிய தாவீதின் சுகசெய்தியை விசாரிக்கவும், அவன் ஆதாதேசரோடே யுத்தம்பண்ணி, அவனை முறிய அடித்ததற்காக அவனுக்கு வாழ்த்துதல் சொல்லவும் தோயீ தன் குமாரனாகிய யோராமை ராஜாவினிடத்தில் அனுப்பினான். மேலும் யோராம் தன் கையிலே வெள்ளியும் பொன்னும் வெண்கலமுமான தட்டுமுட்டுகளைக் கொண்டுவந்தான்.

Then Toi sent Joram his son unto king David, to salute him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer, and smitten him: for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. And Joram brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass:

அவன் கொண்டு வந்தவைகளைத் தாவீது ராஜா கீழ்ப்படுத்தின சீரியர், மோவாபியர், அம்மோன் புத்திரர், பெலிஸ்தர், அமலேக்கியர் என்னும் சகல ஜாதியார்களிடத்திலும்,

Which also king David did dedicate unto the LORD, with the silver and gold that he had dedicated of all nations which he subdued;

ரேகோபின் குமாரனாகிய ஆதாதேசர் என்னும் சோபாவின் ராஜாவினிடத்திலும் கொள்ளையிட்டதிலும் எடுத்து, கர்த்தருக்கு நியமித்த வெள்ளியோடும் பொன்னோடுங்கூட கர்த்தருக்குப் பிரதிஷ்டைபண்ணினான்.

Of Syria, and of Moab, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.

தாவீது உப்புப்பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே பதினெண்ணாயிரம் சீரியரை முறிய அடித்துத் திரும்பினதினால் கீர்த்திபெற்றான்.

And David gat him a name when he returned from smiting of the Syrians in the valley of salt, being eighteen thousand men.

ஏதோமில் தாணையங்களை வைத்தான்; ஏதோம் எங்கும் அவன் தாணையங்களை வைத்ததினாலே, ஏதோமியர் எல்லாரும் தாவீதைச் சேவிக்கிறவர்களானார்கள்; தாவீது போன எல்லா இடத்திலும் கர்த்தர் அவனைக் காப்பாற்றினார்.

And he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all they of Edom became David's servants. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.

இப்படியே தாவீது இஸ்ரவேல் அனைத்தின்மேலும் ராஜாவாயிருந்தான்; அவன் தன்னுடைய எல்லா ஜனத்திற்கும் நியாயமும் நீதியும் செய்துவந்தான்.

And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and justice unto all his people.

செருயாவின் குமாரனாகிய யோவாப் இராணுவத்தலைவனாயிருந்தான்; அகிலூதின் குமாரனாகிய யோசபாத் மந்திரியாயிருந்தான்.

And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder;

அகிதூபின் குமாரன் சாதோக்கும், அபியத்தாரின் குமாரன் அகிமெலேக்கும் ஆசாரியராயிருந்தார்கள்; செராயா சம்பிரதியாயிருந்தான்.

And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests; and Seraiah was the scribe;

யோய்தாவின் குமாரன் பெனாயா கிரேத்தியருக்கும் பிலேத்தியருக்கும் தலைவனாயிருந்தான்; தாவீதின் குமாரரோ பிரதானிகளாயிருந்தார்கள்.

And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over both the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David's sons were chief rulers.

1கொரிந்தியர் அத்தியாயம் 10

இப்படியிருக்க, சகோதரரே, நீங்கள் எவைகளை அறியவேண்டுமென்றிருக்கிறேனென்றால்; நம்முடைய பிதாக்களெல்லாரும் மேகத்துக்குக் கீழாயிருந்தார்கள், எல்லாரும், சமுத்திரத்தின் வழியாய் நடந்துவந்தார்கள்.

Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;

எல்லாரும் மோசேக்குள்ளாக மேகத்தினாலும் சமுத்திரத்தினாலும் ஞானஸ்நானம்பண்ணப்பட்டார்கள்.

And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

எல்லாரும் ஒரே ஞானபோஜனத்தைப் புசித்தார்கள்.

And did all eat the same spiritual meat;

எல்லாரும் ஒரே ஞானபானத்தைக் குடித்தார்கள். எப்படியெனில், அவர்களோடேகூடச் சென்ற ஞானக்கன்மலையின் தண்ணீரைக் குடித்தார்கள்; அந்தக் கன்மலை கிறிஸ்துவே.

And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

அப்படியிருந்தும், அவர்களில் அதிகமானபேர்களிடத்தில் தேவன் பிரியமாயிருந்ததில்லை; ஆதலால் வனாந்தரத்திலே அவர்கள் அழிக்கப்பட்டார்கள்.

But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

அவர்கள் இச்சித்ததுபோல நாமும் பொல்லாங்கானவைகளை இச்சியாதபடிக்கு, இவைகள் நமக்குத் திருஷ்டாந்தங்களாயிருக்கிறது.

Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

ஜனங்கள் புசிக்கவும் குடிக்கவும் உட்கார்ந்து விளையாட எழுந்திருந்தார்கள் என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறபடி, அவர்களில் சிலர் விக்கிரகாராதனைக்காரர் ஆனதுபோல நீங்களும் ஆகாதிருங்கள்.

Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

அவர்களில் சிலர் வேசித்தனம்பண்ணி, ஒரேநாளில் இருபத்துமூவாயிரம்பேர் விழுந்துபோனார்கள்; அதுபோல நாமும் வேசித்தனம்பண்ணாதிருப்போமாக.

Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

அவர்களில் சிலர் கிறிஸ்துவைப் பரீட்சைப்பார்த்து, பாம்புகளால் அழிக்கப்பட்டார்கள்; அதுபோல நாமும் கிறிஸ்துவைப் பரீட்சைபாராதிருப்போமாக.

Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

அவர்களில் சிலர் முறுமுறுத்து, சங்காரக்காரனாலே அழிக்கப்பட்டார்கள்; அதுபோல நீங்களும் முறுமுறுக்காதிருங்கள்.

Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

இவைகளெல்லாம் திருஷ்டாந்தங்களாக அவர்களுக்குச் சம்பவித்தது; உலகத்தின் முடிவுகாலத்திலுள்ள நமக்கு எச்சரிப்புண்டாக்கும்படி எழுதப்பட்டும் இருக்கிறது.

Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

இப்படியிருக்க, தன்னை நிற்கிறவனென்று எண்ணுகிறவன் விழாதபடிக்கு எச்சரிக்கையாயிருக்கக்கடவன்.

Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

மனுஷருக்கு நேரிடுகிற சோதனையேயல்லாமல் வேறே சோதனை உங்களுக்கு நேரிடவில்லை. தேவன் உண்மையுள்ளவராயிருக்கிறார்; உங்கள் திராணிக்கு மேலாக நீங்கள் சோதிக்கப்படுகிறதற்கு அவர் இடங்கொடாமல், சோதனையைத் தாங்கத்தக்கதாக, சோதனையோடுகூட அதற்குத் தப்பிக்கொள்ளும்படியான போக்கையும் உண்டாக்குவார்.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

ஆகையால் எனக்குப் பிரியமானவர்களே, விக்கிரகாராதனைக்கு விலகி ஓடுங்கள்.

Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

உங்களைப் புத்திமான்களென்று எண்ணிப் பேசுகிறேன்; நான் சொல்லுகிறதை நீங்களே நிதானித்துப்பாருங்கள்.

I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.

நாம் ஆசீர்வதிக்கிற ஆசீர்வாதத்தின் பாத்திரம் கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய இரத்தத்தின் ஐக்கிமாயிருக்கிறதல்லவா? நாம் பிட்கிற அப்பம் கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய சரீரத்தின் ஐக்கியமாயிருக்கிறதல்லவா?

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

அந்த ஒரே அப்பத்தில் நாமெல்லாரும் பங்குபெறுகிறபடியால், அநேகரான நாம் ஒரே அப்பமும் ஒரே சரீரமுமாயிருக்கிறோம்.

For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

மாம்சத்தின்படியான இஸ்ரவேலரைப் பாருங்கள்; பலிகளைப் புசிக்கிறவர்கள் பலிபீடத்தோடே ஐக்கியமாயிருக்கிறார்களல்லவா?

Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?

இப்படியிருக்க, விக்கிரகம் ஒரு பொருளென்றும், விக்கிரகத்துக்குப் படைக்கப்பட்டது ஒரு பொருளென்றும் நான் சொல்லுகிறேனோ?

What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?

அஞ்ஞானிகள் பலியிடுகிறவைகளை தேவனுக்கு அல்ல, பேய்களுக்கே பலியிடுகிறார்களென்று சொல்லுகிறேன்; நீங்கள் பேய்களோடே ஐக்கியமாயிருக்க எனக்கு மனதில்லை.

But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

நீங்கள் கர்த்தருடைய பாத்திரத்திலும் பேய்களுடைய பாத்திரத்திலும் பானம் பண்ணக்கூடாதே; நீங்கள் கர்த்தருடைய போஜனபந்திக்கும் பேய்களுடைய போஜனபந்திக்கும் பங்குள்ளவர்களாயிருக்கக்கூடாதே.

Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

நாம் கர்த்தருக்கு எரிச்சலை மூட்டலாமா? அவரிலும் நாம் பலவான்களா?

Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?

எல்லாவற்றையும் அநுபவிக்க எனக்கு அதிகாரமுண்டு, ஆகிலும் எல்லாம் தகுதியாயிராது; எல்லாவற்றையும் அநுபவிக்க எனக்கு அதிகாரமுண்டு, ஆகிலும் எல்லாம் பக்திவிருத்தியை உண்டாக்காது.

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

ஒவ்வொருவனும் தன் சுயபிரயோஜனத்தைத் தேடாமல், பிறனுடைய பிரயோஜனத்தைத் தேடக்கடவன்.

Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.

கடையிலே விற்கப்படுகிற எதையும் வாங்கிப் புசியுங்கள்; மனச்சாட்சியினிமித்தம் நீங்கள் ஒன்றையும் விசாரிக்கவேண்டியதில்லை.

Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake:

பூமியும் அதின் நிறைவும் கர்த்தருடையது.

For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof.

அன்றியும் அவிசுவாசிகளில் ஒருவன் உங்களை விருந்துக்கு அழைக்கும்போது, போக உங்களுக்கு மனதிருந்தால், மனச்சாட்சியினிமித்தம் ஒன்றையும் விசாரியாமல், உங்கள் முன் வைக்கப்படுகிற எதையும் புசியுங்கள்.

If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.

ஆயினும் இது விக்கிரகங்களுக்குப் படைக்கப்பட்டதென்று ஒருவன் உங்களுக்குச் சொன்னால், அப்படி அறிவித்தவனிமித்தமும் மனச்சாட்சியினிமித்தமும் புசியாதிருங்கள்; பூமியும் அதின் நிறைவும் கர்த்தருடையது.

But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof:

உன்னுடைய மனச்சாட்சியைக்குறித்து நான் இப்படிச் சொல்லாமல், மற்றொருவனுடைய மனச்சாட்சியைக்குறித்தே சொல்லுகிறேன். என் சுயாதீனம் மற்றொருவனுடைய மனச்சாட்சியினாலே குற்றமாய் எண்ணப்படவேண்டுவதென்ன?

Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man's conscience?

மேலும் நான் அதை ஸ்தோத்திரிப்புடனே அநுபவித்தால், ஸ்தோத்திரித்து அநுபவிக்கிற பொருளைக்குறித்து நான் தூஷிக்கப்படுவானேன்?

For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?

ஆகையால் நீங்கள் புசித்தாலும், குடித்தாலும், எதைச் செய்தாலும், எல்லாவற்றையும் தேவனுடைய மகிமைக்கென்று செய்யுங்கள்.

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

நான் என் சுயபிரயோஜனத்தைத் தேடாமல், அநேகருடைய பிரயோஜனத்தைத் தேடி, அவர்கள் இரட்சிக்கப்படும்படிக்கு, எவ்விதத்திலும் எல்லாருக்கும் பிரியமாய் நடக்கிறதுபோல;

Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

நீங்களும் யூதருக்கும், கிரேக்கருக்கும், தேவனுடைய சபைக்கும் இடறலற்றவர்களாயிருங்கள்.

Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

1கொரிந்தியர் அத்தியாயம் 11

நான் கிறிஸ்துவைப் பின்பற்றுகிறதுபோல, நீங்கள் என்னைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவர்களாயிருங்கள்.

Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

சகோதரரே, நீங்கள் எல்லாவற்றிலும் என்னை நினைத்துக்கொண்டு, நான் உங்களுக்கு ஒப்புவித்தபடி நீங்கள் கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொண்டு வருகிறதினிமித்தம் உங்களைப் புகழுகிறேன்.

Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.

ஒவ்வொரு புருஷனுக்கும் கிறிஸ்து தலையாயிருக்கிறாரென்றும், ஸ்திரீக்குப் புருஷன் தலையாயிருக்கிறானென்றும், கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு தேவன் தலையாயிருக்கிறாரென்றும், நீங்கள் அறியவேண்டுமென்று விரும்புகிறேன்.

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

ஜெபம்பண்ணுகிறபோதாவது, தீர்க்கதரிசனஞ் சொல்லுகிறபோதாவது, தன் தலையை மூடிக்கொண்டிருக்கிற எந்தப் புருஷனும் தன் தலையைக் கனவீனப்படுத்துகிறான்.

Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.

ஜெபம்பண்ணுகிறபோதாவது, தீர்க்கதரிசனஞ் சொல்லுகிறபோதாவது, தன் தலையை மூடிக்கொள்ளாதிருக்கிற எந்த ஸ்திரீயும் தன் தலையைக் கனவீனப்படுத்துகிறாள்; அது அவளுக்குத் தலை சிரைக்கப்பட்டதுபோலிருக்குமே.

But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

ஸ்திரீயானவள் முக்காடிட்டுக் கொள்ளாவிட்டால் தலைமயிரையும் கத்தரித்துப்போடக்கடவள்; தலைமயிர் கத்தரிக்கப்படுகிறதும் சிரைக்கப்படுகிறதும் ஸ்திரீக்கு வெட்கமானால் முக்காடிட்டுக்கொண்டிருக்கக்கடவள்.

For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

புருஷனானவன் தேவனுடைய சாயலும் மகிமையுமாயிருக்கிறபடியால், தன் தலையை மூடிக்கொள்ளவேண்டுவதில்லை; ஸ்திரீயானவள் புருஷனுடைய மகிமையாயிருக்கிறாள்.

For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

புருஷன் ஸ்திரீயிலிருந்து தோன்றினவனல்ல, ஸ்திரீயே புருஷனிலிருந்து தோன்றினவள்.

For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.

புருஷன் ஸ்திரீக்காகச் சிருஷ்டிக்கப்பட்டவனல்ல, ஸ்திரீயே புருஷனுக்காகச் சிருஷ்டிக்கப்பட்டவள்.

Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

ஆகையால் தூதர்களினிமித்தம் ஸ்திரீயானவள் தலையின்மேல் முக்காடிட்டுக்கொள்ளவேண்டும்.

For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.

ஆகிலும் கர்த்தருக்குள் ஸ்திரீயில்லாமல் புருஷனுமில்லை, புருஷனில்லாமல் ஸ்திரீயுமில்லை.

Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.

ஸ்திரீயானவள் புருஷனிலிருந்து தோன்றுகிறதுபோல, புருஷனும் ஸ்திரீயினால் தோன்றுகிறான்; சகலமும் தேவனால் உண்டாயிருக்கிறது.

For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.

ஸ்திரீயானவள் தேவனை நோக்கி: ஜெபம்பண்ணுகையில், தன் தலையை மூடிக்கொள்ளாமலிருக்கிறது இலட்சணமாயிருக்குமோ என்று உங்களுக்குள்ளே நிதானித்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.

Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?

புருஷன் மயிரை நீளமாய் வளர்க்கிறது அவனுக்கு கனவீனமாயிருக்கிறதென்றும்,

Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

ஸ்திரீ தன் மயிரை நீளமாய் வளர்க்கிறது அவளுக்கு மகிமையாயிருக்கிறதென்றும் சுபாவமே. உங்களுக்குப் போதிக்கிறதில்லையா? தலைமயிர் அவளுக்கு முக்காடாகக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறதே.

But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

ஆகிலும் ஒருவன் வாக்குவாதஞ்செய்ய மனதாயிருந்தால், எங்களுக்கும், தேவனுடைய சபைகளுக்கும், அப்படிப்பட்ட வழக்கமில்லையென்று அறியக்கடவன்.

But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.

உங்களைப் புகழாமல் இதைக்குறித்து உங்களுக்குக் கட்டளைகொடுக்கிறேன்; நீங்கள் கூடிவருதல் நன்மைக்கேதுவாயிராமல், தீமைக்கேதுவாயிருக்கிறதே.

Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.

முதலாவது, நீங்கள் சபையிலே கூடிவந்திருக்கும்போது, உங்களில் பிரிவினைகள் உண்டென்று, கேள்விப்படுகிறேன்; அதில் சிலவற்றை நம்புகிறேன்.

For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.

உங்களில் உத்தமர்கள் இன்னாரென்று வெளியாகும்படிக்கு மார்க்கபேதங்களும் உங்களுக்குள்ளே உண்டாயிருக்கவேண்டியதே.

For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.

நீங்கள் ஓரிடத்தில் கூடிவரும்போது, அவனவன் தன்தன் சொந்த போஜனத்தை முந்திச் சாப்பிடுகிறான்; ஒருவன் பசியாயிருக்கிறான், ஒருவன் வெறியாயிருக்கிறான்.

When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper.

இப்படிச் செய்கிறது கர்த்தருடைய இராப்போஜனம்பண்ணுதலல்லவே.

For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.

புசிக்கிறதற்கும் குடிக்கிறதற்கும் உங்களுக்கு வீடுகள் இல்லையா? தேவனுடைய சபையை அசட்டைபண்ணி, இல்லாதவர்களை வெட்கப்படுத்துகிறீர்களா? உங்களுக்கு நான் என்ன சொல்லுவேன்? இதைக்குறித்து உங்களைப் புகழ்வேனோ? புகழேன்.

What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.

நான் உங்களுக்கு ஒப்புவித்ததைக் கர்த்தரிடத்தில் பெற்றுக்கொண்டேன்; என்னவெனில், கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு தாம் காட்டிக்கொடுக்கப்பட்ட அன்று இராத்திரியிலே அப்பத்தை எடுத்து,

For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

ஸ்தோத்திரம்பண்ணி, அதைப் பிட்டு: நீங்கள் வாங்கிப் புசியுங்கள், இது உங்களுக்காகப் பிட்கப்படுகிற என்னுடைய சரீரமாயிருக்கிறது; என்னை நினைவுகூரும்படி இதைச் செய்யுங்கள் என்றார்.

And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

போஜனம்பண்ணினபின்பு, அவர் அந்தப்படியே பாத்திரத்தையும் எடுத்து: இந்தப் பாத்திரம் என் இரத்தத்தினாலாகிய புதிய உடன்படிக்கையாயிருக்கிறது; நீங்கள் இதைப் பானம்பண்ணும்போதெல்லாம் என்னை நினைவுகூரும்படி இதைச் செய்யுங்கள் என்றார்.

After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

ஆகையால், நீங்கள் இந்த அப்பத்தைப் புசித்து, இந்தப் பாத்திரத்தில் பானம்பண்ணும்போதெல்லாம் கர்த்தர் வருமளவும் அவருடைய மரணத்தைத் தெரிவிக்கிறீர்கள்.

For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

இப்படியிருக்க, எவன் அபாத்திரமாய்க் கர்த்தருடைய அப்பத்தைப் புசித்து, அவருடைய பாத்திரத்தில் பானம்பண்ணுகிறானோ, அவன் கர்த்தருடைய சரீரத்தையும் இரத்தத்தையும் குறித்துக் குற்றமுள்ளவனாயிருப்பான்.

Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

எந்த மனுஷனும் தன்னைத்தானே சோதித்தறிந்து, இந்த அப்பத்தில் புசித்து, இந்தப் பாத்திரத்தில் பானம்பண்ணக்கடவன்.

But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

என்னத்தினாலெனில் அபாத்திரமாய்ப் போஜனபானம்பண்ணுகிறவன், கர்த்தருடைய சரீரம் இன்னதென்று நிதானித்து அறியாததினால், தனக்கு ஆக்கினைத்தீர்ப்பு வரும்படி போஜனபானம் பண்ணுகிறான்.

For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

இதினிமித்தம், உங்களில் அநேகர் பலவீனரும் வியாதியுள்ளவர்களுமாயிருக்கிறார்கள்; அநேகர் நித்திரையும் அடைந்திருக்கிறார்கள்.

For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

நம்மை நாமே நிதானித்து அறிந்தால் நாம் நியாயந்தீர்க்கப்படோம்.

For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

நாம் நியாயந்தீர்க்கப்படும்போது உலகத்தோடே ஆக்கினைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்க்கப்படாதபடிக்கு, கர்த்தராலே சிட்சிக்கப்படுகிறோம்.

But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

ஆகையால், என் சகோதரரே, நீங்கள் போஜனம்பண்ணக் கூடிவரும்போது, ஒருவருக்காக ஒருவர் காத்திருங்கள்.

Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.

நீங்கள் ஆக்கினைக்கேதுவாகக் கூடிவராதபடிக்கு, ஒருவனுக்குப் பசியிருந்தால் வீட்டிலே சாப்பிடக்கடவன். மற்றக் காரியங்களை நான் வரும்போது திட்டம்பண்ணுவேன்.

And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.
