1இராஜாக்கள் அத்தியாயம் 5

சாலொமோனை அவனுடைய பிதாவின் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவாக அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினார்கள் என்று தீருவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஈராம் கேள்விப்பட்டு, தன் ஊழியக்காரரை அவனிடத்தில் அனுப்பினான்; ஈராம் தாவீதுக்குச் சகலநாளும் சிநேகிதனாயிருந்தான்.

And Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants unto Solomon; for he had heard that they had anointed him king in the room of his father: for Hiram was ever a lover of David.

அப்பொழுது சாலொமோன் ஈராமினிடத்தில் ஆட்களை அனுப்பி:

And Solomon sent to Hiram, saying,

என் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதின் சத்துருக்களைக் கர்த்தர் அவருடைய பாதங்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படுத்திவிடுமளவும், அவர்கள் தம்மைச் சுற்றிலும் செய்கிற யுத்தத்தினால், அவர் தம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்திற்கு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்ட, அவருக்குக் கூடாதிருந்தது என்று நீர் அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்.

Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the LORD his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the LORD put them under the soles of his feet.

ஆனாலும் இப்பொழுதோ என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் எங்கும் எனக்கு இளைப்பாறுதலைத் தந்தார்; விரோதியும் இல்லை, இடையூறும் இல்லை.

But now the LORD my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.

ஆகையால்: நான் உன் ஸ்தானத்தில் உன் சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் வைக்கும் உன் குமாரனே என் நாமத்திற்கு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுவான் என்று கர்த்தர் என் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதினிடத்தில் சொன்னபடியே, என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் நாமத்திற்கு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டவேண்டும் என்று இருக்கிறேன்.

And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name.

ஆதலால் லீபனோனில் எனக்காக கேதுருமரங்களை வெட்டக் கட்டளையிடும்; சீதோனியரைப்போல மரவெட்டு வேலை அறிந்தவர்கள் எங்களுக்குள்ளே ஒருவருமில்லை என்பது உமக்குத் தெரியும்; அதற்காக என் வேலைக்காரர் உம்முடைய வேலைக்காரரோடே இருப்பார்கள்; நீர் சொல்வதின்படியெல்லாம் உம்முடைய வேலைக்காரரின் சம்பளத்தை உமக்குக் கொடுப்பேன் என்று சொல்லச் சொன்னான்.

Now therefore command thou that they hew me cedar trees out of Lebanon; and my servants shall be with thy servants: and unto thee will I give hire for thy servants according to all that thou shalt appoint: for thou knowest that there is not among us any that can skill to hew timber like unto the Sidonians.

ஈராம் சாலொமோனின் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்டபோது, மிகவும் சந்தோஷப்பட்டு: அந்த ஏராளமான ஜனங்களை ஆளும்படி, தாவீதுக்கு ஒரு ஞானமுள்ள குமாரனைக் கொடுத்த கர்த்தர் இன்று ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கப்படுவாராக என்று சொல்லி;

And it came to pass, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed be the LORD this day, which hath given unto David a wise son over this great people.

ஈராம் சாலொமோனிடத்தில் மனுஷரை அனுப்பி: நீர் எனக்குச் சொல்லியனுப்பின காரியத்தை நான் கேட்டேன்; கேதுருமரங்களுக்காகவும், தேவதாரி விருட்சங்களுக்காகவும், உம்முடைய விருப்பத்தின்படியெல்லாம் நான் செய்வேன்.

And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, I have considered the things which thou sentest to me for: and I will do all thy desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning timber of fir.

என் வேலைக்காரர் லீபனோனில் இருந்து அவைகளை இறக்கிக் கடலிலே கொண்டுவருவார்கள்; அங்கே நான் அவைகளைத் தெப்பங்களாகக் கட்டி, நீர் நியமிக்கும் இடத்துக்குக் கடல்வழியாய் அனுப்பி, அவைகளை அவிழ்த்து ஒப்பிப்பேன்; அங்கே நீர் அவைகளை ஒப்புக்கொண்டு என் ஜனங்களுக்கு ஆகாரங்கொடுத்து, என் விருப்பத்தின்படி செய்யவேண்டும் என்று சொல்லச்சொன்னான்.

My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon unto the sea: and I will convey them by sea in floats unto the place that thou shalt appoint me, and will cause them to be discharged there, and thou shalt receive them: and thou shalt accomplish my desire, in giving food for my household.

அப்படியே ஈராம் சாலொமோனுக்கு வேண்டியமட்டும் கேதுருமரங்களையும் தேவதாரி விருட்சங்களையும் கொடுத்துக்கொண்டுவந்தான்.

So Hiram gave Solomon cedar trees and fir trees according to all his desire.

சாலொமோன் ஈராமின் அரமனைக்குப் போஜனத்திற்காக இருபதினாயிரக்கலம் கோதுமையையும், இடித்துப் பிழிந்த ஒலிவமரங்களின் இருபதுகல எண்ணெயையும் கொடுத்தான்; இப்படிச் சாலொமோன் ஈராமுக்கு வருஷாந்தரம் கொடுத்துவந்தான்.

And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand measures of wheat for food to his household, and twenty measures of pure oil: thus gave Solomon to Hiram year by year.

கர்த்தர் சாலொமோனுக்குச் சொல்லியிருந்தபடியே அவனுக்கு ஞானத்தைத் தந்தருளினார்; ஈராமுக்கும் சாலொமோனுக்கும் சமாதானம்உண்டாயிருந்து, இருவரும் உடன்படிக்கை பண்ணிக்கொண்டார்கள்.

And the LORD gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.

ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் இஸ்ரவேலரெல்லாரிலும் ஊழியத்துக்கு முப்பதினாயிரம் அமஞ்சி ஆட்களைப் பிடித்தான்.

And king Solomon raised a levy out of all Israel; and the levy was thirty thousand men.

அவர்களில் ஒவ்வொரு மாதத்திற்குப் பதினாயிரம்பேரை மாற்றி மாற்றி, லீபனோனுக்கு அனுப்பினான்; அவர்கள் ஒரு மாதம் லீபனோனிலும், இரண்டு மாதம் தங்கள் வீடுகளிலும் இருப்பார்கள்; அதோனீராம் அந்த அமஞ்சி ஆட்களின்மேல் விசாரிப்புக்காரனாயிருந்தான்.

And he sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month by courses: a month they were in Lebanon, and two months at home: and Adoniram was over the levy.

சாலொமோனிடத்தில் சுமை சுமக்கிறவர்கள் எழுபதினாயிரம்பேரும், மலைகளில் மரம் வெட்டுகிறவர்கள் எண்பதினாயிரம்பேரும்,

And Solomon had threescore and ten thousand that bare burdens, and fourscore thousand hewers in the mountains;

இவர்களைத் தவிர வேலையை விசாரித்து வேலையாட்களைக் கண்காணிக்கிறதற்கு தலைமையான விசாரிப்புக்காரர் மூவாயிரத்து முந்நூறுபேரும் இருந்தார்கள்.

Beside the chief of Solomon's officers which were over the work, three thousand and three hundred, which ruled over the people that wrought in the work.

வெட்டின கல்லால் ஆலயத்துக்கு அஸ்திபாரம்போட, பெரிதும் விலையேறப்பெற்றதுமான கற்களைக் கொண்டுவர ராஜா கட்டளையிட்டான்.

And the king commanded, and they brought great stones, costly stones, and hewed stones, to lay the foundation of the house.

ஆலயத்தைக் கட்ட, சாலொமோனின் சிற்பாசாரிகளும், ஈராமின் சிற்பாசாரிகளும், கிபலி ஊராரும், அந்த மரங்களையும் கற்களையும் வெட்டி ஆயத்தப்படுத்தினார்கள்.

And Solomon's builders and Hiram's builders did hew them, and the stonesquarers: so they prepared timber and stones to build the house.

இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட நானூற்று எண்பதாம் வருஷத்திலும், சாலொமோன் இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவான நாலாம் வருஷம் சீப் மாதமாகிய இரண்டாம் மாதத்திலும், அவன் கர்த்தரின் ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டத்தொடங்கினான்.

And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.

சாலொமோன் ராஜா கர்த்தருக்குக் கட்டின ஆலயம் அறுபதுமுழ நீளமும், இருபதுமுழ அகலமும், முப்பதுமுழ உயரமுமாயிருந்தது.

And the house which king Solomon built for the LORD, the length thereof was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits.

ஆலயமாகிய அந்த மாளிகையின் முகப்பிலே அவன் கட்டின மண்டபம் ஆலயத்தின் அகலத்திற்குச் சரியாய் இருபதுமுழ நீளமும், ஆலயத்துக்கு முன்னே பத்துமுழ அகலமுமாயிருந்தது.

And the porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the breadth thereof before the house.

பார்வைக்குக் குறுகிப்போகிற ஒடுக்கமான ஜன்னல்களை ஆலயத்திற்குச் செய்வித்தான்.

And for the house he made windows of narrow lights.

அவன் தேவாலயத்தின் சுவரும் சந்நிதி ஸ்தானச் சுவருமாகிய ஆலயத்தின் சுவர்களுக்கு அடுத்ததாய்ச் சுற்றுக்கட்டுகளைக் கட்டி, அவைகளில் அறைகளைச் சுற்றிலும் உண்டாக்கினான்.

And against the wall of the house he built chambers round about, against the walls of the house round about, both of the temple and of the oracle: and he made chambers round about:

கீழே இருக்கிற சுற்றுக்கட்டு ஐந்துமுழ அகலமும், நடுவே இருக்கிறது ஆறுமுழ அகலமும், மூன்றாவதாயிருக்கிறது ஏழுமுழ அகலமுமாயிருந்தது; அவைகள் ஆலயத்தினுடைய சுவர்களிலே தாங்காதபடிக்கு ஆலயத்தைச் சுற்றிலும் புறம்பே ஒட்டுச்சுவர்களைக் கட்டுவித்தான்.

The nethermost chamber was five cubits broad, and the middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad: for without in the wall of the house he made narrowed rests round about, that the beams should not be fastened in the walls of the house.

ஆலயம் கட்டப்படுகையில், அது பணிதீர்ந்து கொண்டுவரப்பட்ட கற்களாலே கட்டப்பட்டது; ஆகையால் அது கட்டப்படுகிறபோது, சுத்திகள் வாச்சிகள் முதலான எந்த இருப்பு ஆயுதங்களின் சத்தமும் அதிலே கேட்கப்படவில்லை.

And the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready before it was brought thither: so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.

நடு அறைகளுக்குப் போகிற வாசற்படி ஆலயத்தின் வலதுபுறத்தில் இருந்தது; சுழற்படிகளால் நடு அறைகளுக்கும், நடு அறைகளிலிருந்து மூன்றாவது அறைகளுக்கும் ஏறுவார்கள்.

The door for the middle chamber was in the right side of the house: and they went up with winding stairs into the middle chamber, and out of the middle into the third.

இவ்விதமாய் அவன் ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டி, கேதுரு மர உத்திரங்களாலும் பலகைகளாலும் ஆலயத்தை மச்சுப்பாவி முடித்தான்.

So he built the house, and finished it; and covered the house with beams and boards of cedar.

அவன் ஐந்துமுழ உயரமான சுற்றுக்கட்டுகளை ஆலயத்தின்மேலெங்கும் கட்டுவித்தான்; அவைகள் கேதுருமரங்களால் ஆலயத்தோடே இணைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது.

And then he built chambers against all the house, five cubits high: and they rested on the house with timber of cedar.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை சாலொமோனுக்கு உண்டாயிற்று; அவர்:

And the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying,

நீ என் கட்டளைகளின்படி நடந்து, என் நீதி நியாயங்களை நிறைவேற்றி, என் கற்பனைகளின்படியெல்லாம் நடந்து கொள்ளும்படிக்கு, அவைகளைக் கைக்கொண்டால், நீ கட்டுகிற இந்த ஆலயத்தைக்குறித்து நான் உன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதோடே சொன்ன என் வார்த்தையை உன்னிடத்தில் நிறைவேற்றி,

Concerning this house which thou art in building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I perform my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father:

இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் நடுவிலே வாசம்பண்ணி, என் ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலைக் கைவிடாதிருப்பேன் என்றார்.

And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.

அப்படியே சாலொமோன் ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டி முடித்தான்.

So Solomon built the house, and finished it.

ஆலயத்துச் சுவர்களின் உட்புறத்தை, தளம் தொடங்கிச் சுவர்களின் மேல்மச்சுமட்டும், கேதுருப்பலகைகளால் மூடி, இப்படி உட்புறத்தை மரவேலையாக்கி, ஆலயத்தின் தளத்தை தேவதாரி விருட்சங்களின் பலகைகளால் தளவரிசைப்படுத்தினான்.

And he built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar, both the floor of the house, and the walls of the cieling: and he covered them on the inside with wood, and covered the floor of the house with planks of fir.

தளவரிசை தொடங்கிச் சுவர்களின் உயரமட்டும் ஆலயத்தின் பக்கங்களைத் தொடர்ந்திருக்கிற இருபதுமுழ நீளமான மறைப்பையும் கேதுருப்பலகைகளால் உண்டாக்கி, உட்புறத்தை மகா பரிசுத்தமான சந்நிதிஸ்தானமாகக் கட்டினான்.

And he built twenty cubits on the sides of the house, both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar: he even built them for it within, even for the oracle, even for the most holy place.

அதின் முன்னிருக்கிற தேவாலயமாகிய மாளிகை நாற்பதுமுழ நீளமாயிருந்தது.

And the house, that is, the temple before it, was forty cubits long.

ஆலயத்திற்குள் இருக்கிற கேதுருமரங்களில் மொக்குகளும் மலர்ந்த பூக்களுமான சித்திரவேலை செய்திருந்தது; பார்வைக்கு ஒரு கல்லாகிலும் காணப்படாமல் எல்லாம் கேதுருமரமாயிருந்தது.

And the cedar of the house within was carved with knops and open flowers: all was cedar; there was no stone seen.

கர்த்தருடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியை வைக்கிறதற்கு ஆலயத்துக்குள்ளே சந்நிதிஸ்தானத்தை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தினான்.

And the oracle he prepared in the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of the LORD.

சந்நிதிஸ்தானம் முன்புறமட்டும் இருபதுமுழ நீளமும், இருபதுமுழ அகலமும், இருபதுமுழ உயரமுமாயிருந்தது; அதைப் பசும்பொன்தகட்டால் மூடினான்; கேதுருமரப் பலிபீடத்தையும் அப்படியே மூடினான்.

And the oracle in the forepart was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height thereof: and he overlaid it with pure gold; and so covered the altar which was of cedar.

ஆலயத்தின் உட்புறத்தைச் சாலொமோன் பசும்பொன்தகட்டால் மூடி, சந்நிதிஸ்தானத்தின் மறைப்புக்கும் பொன்சங்கிலிகளைக் குறுக்கே போட்டு, அதைப் பொன்தகட்டால் மூடினான்.

So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he made a partition by the chains of gold before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold.

இப்படி ஆலயம் முழுவதும் கட்டித்தீருமட்டும், அவன் ஆலயம் முழுவதையும் பொன்தகட்டால் மூடி, சந்நிதிஸ்தானத்திற்கு முன்பாக இருக்கிற பலிபீடத்தை முழுவதும் பொன்தகட்டால் மூடினான்.

And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until he had finished all the house: also the whole altar that was by the oracle he overlaid with gold.

And within the oracle he made two cherubims of olive tree, each ten cubits high.

கேருபீனுக்கு இருக்கிற ஒருசெட்டை ஐந்துமுழமும் கேருபீனின் மற்றச் செட்டை ஐந்து முழமுமாய், இப்படி ஒரு செட்டையின் கடைசிமுனை தொடங்கி மற்றச் செட்டையின் கடைசி முனை மட்டும் பத்துமுழமாயிருந்தது.

And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub: from the uttermost part of the one wing unto the uttermost part of the other were ten cubits.

மற்றக் கேருபீனும் பத்து முழமாயிருந்தது; இரண்டு கேருபீன்களும் ஒரே அளவும் ஒரே திட்டமுமாயிருந்தது.

And the other cherub was ten cubits: both the cherubims were of one measure and one size.

ஒரு கேருபீன் பத்துமுழ உயரமாயிருந்தது; மற்றக் கேருபீனும் அப்படியே இருந்தது.

The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it of the other cherub.

அந்தக் கேருபீன்களை உள் ஆலயத்திலே வைத்தான்; கேருபீன்களின் செட்டைகள் விரித்திருந்ததினால், ஒரு கேருபீனின் செட்டை ஒரு பக்கத்துச்சுவரிலும், மற்றக் கேருபீனின் செட்டை மறுபக்கத்துச் சுவரிலும் தொடத்தக்கதாயிருந்தது; ஆலயத்தின் நடுமையத்தில், அவைகளின் செட்டைகள் ஒன்றோடொன்று தொடத்தக்கதாயிருந்தது.

And he set the cherubims within the inner house: and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.

அந்தக் கேருபீன்களைப் பொன்தகட்டால் மூடினான்.

And he overlaid the cherubims with gold.

ஆலயத்தின் சுவர்களையெல்லாம் அவன் சுற்றிலும் உள்ளும் புறம்புமாகக் கேருபீன்களும் பேரீந்துகளும் மலர்ந்த பூக்களுமான சித்திரங்களும் கொத்து வேலைகளுமாக்கினான்.

And he carved all the walls of the house round about with carved figures of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, within and without.

உள்ளும் புறம்புமாயிருக்கிற ஆலயத்துத் தளவரிசையையும் பொன்தகட்டால் மூடினான்.

And the floor of the house he overlaid with gold, within and without.

சந்நிதி ஸ்தானத்தின் வாசலுக்கு ஒலிவமரங்களால் இரட்டைக் கதவுகளைச் செய்தான்; மேல்சட்டமும் நிலைகளும் மறைப்பின் அளவில் ஐந்தில் ஒரு பங்காயிருந்தது.

And for the entering of the oracle he made doors of olive tree: the lintel and side posts were a fifth part of the wall.

ஒலிவமரமான அந்த இரட்டைக் கதவுகளில் அவன் கேருபீன்களும் பேரீந்துகளும் மலர்ந்த பூக்களுமான சித்திரங்களைச் செய்து, அந்தக் கேருபீன்களிலும் பேரீந்துகளிலும் பொன்பதியத்தக்கதாய்ப் பொன்தகட்டால் மூடினான்.

The two doors also were of olive tree; and he carved upon them carvings of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold, and spread gold upon the cherubims, and upon the palm trees.

இப்படி தேவாலயத்தின் வாசலுக்கும் ஒலிவமர நிலைகளைச் செய்தான்; அது சுவர் அளவில் நாலத்தொரு பங்காயிருந்தது.

So also made he for the door of the temple posts of olive tree, a fourth part of the wall.

அதின் இரண்டு கதவுகளும் தேவதாரிப் பலகைகளால் செய்யப்பட்டிருந்தது; ஒரு கதவுக்கு இரண்டு மடிப்புப் பலகைகளும், மற்றக் கதவுக்கு இரண்டு மடிப்புப் பலகைகளும் இருந்தது.

And the two doors were of fir tree: the two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding.

அவைகளில் கேருபீன்களும் பேரீந்துகளும் மலர்ந்த பூக்களுமான சித்திர வேலையைச் செய்து, சித்திரங்களுக்குச் சரியாகச் செய்யப்பட்ட பொன்தகட்டால் அவைகளை மூடினான்.

And he carved thereon cherubims and palm trees and open flowers: and covered them with gold fitted upon the carved work.

அவன் உட்பிரகாரத்தை மூன்று வரிசை வெட்டின கற்களாலும், ஒரு வரிசை கேதுருப் பலகைகளாலும் கட்டினான்.

And he built the inner court with three rows of hewed stone, and a row of cedar beams.

நாலாம் வருஷம் சீப்மாதத்திலே கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்துக்கு அஸ்திபாரம் போட்டு,

In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of the LORD laid, in the month Zif:

பதினோராம் வருஷம் பூல் என்னும் எட்டாம் மாதத்திலே, அந்த ஆலயமுழுதும் சகல சட்டதிட்டத்தின்படியே ஒருபங்கும் குறையாமல் கட்டித் தீர்ந்தது; அவன் அதைக் கட்டிமுடிக்க ஏழுவருஷம் சென்றது.

And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it.

கலாத்தியர் அத்தியாயம் 3

புத்தியில்லாத கலாத்தியரே, நீங்கள் சத்தியத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாமற்போகத்தக்கதாக உங்களை மயக்கினவன் யார்? இயேசுகிறிஸ்து சிலுவையிலறையப்பட்டவராக உங்கள் கண்களுக்குமுன் பிரத்தியட்சமாய் உங்களுக்குள்ளே வெளிப்படுத்தப்பட்டிருந்தாரே.

O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

ஒன்றைமாத்திரம் உங்களிடத்தில் அறிய விரும்புகிறேன்; நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின் கிரியைகளினாலேயோ, விசுவாசக் கேள்வியினாலேயோ, எதினாலே ஆவியைப் பெற்றீர்கள்?

This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

ஆவியினாலே ஆரம்பம்பண்ணின நீங்கள் இப்பொழுது மாம்சத்தினாலே முடிவு பெறப்போகிறீர்களோ? நீங்கள் இத்தனை புத்தியீனரா?

Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

இத்தனை பாடுகளையும் வீணாய்ப்பட்டீர்களோ? அவைகள் வீணாய்ப்போயிற்றே.

Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.

அன்றியும் உங்களுக்கு ஆவியை அளித்து, உங்களுக்குள்ளே அற்புதங்களை நடப்பிக்கிறவர் அதை நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின் கிரியைகளினாலேயோ, விசுவாசக் கேள்வியினாலேயோ, எதினாலே செய்கிறார்?

He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

அப்படியே ஆபிரகாம் தேவனை விசுவாசித்தான், அது அவனுக்கு நீதியாக எண்ணப்பட்டது.

Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

ஆகையால் விசுவாசமார்க்கத்தார்கள் எவர்களோ அவர்களே ஆபிரகாமின் பிள்ளைகளென்று அறிவீர்களாக.

Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

மேலும் தேவன் விசுவாசத்தினாலே புறஜாதிகளை நீதிமான்களாக்குகிறாரென்று வேதம் முன்னாகக் கண்டு: உனக்குள் சகல ஜாதிகளும் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படும் என்று ஆபிரகாமுக்குச் சுவிசேஷமாய் முன்னறிவித்தது.

And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

அந்தப்படி விசுவாசமார்க்கத்தார் விசுவாசமுள்ள ஆபிரகாமுடனே ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படுகிறார்கள்.

So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின் கிரியைக்காரராகிய யாவரும் சாபத்திற்குட்பட்டிருக்கிறார்கள்; நியாயப்பிரமாண புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதப்பட்டவைகளையெல்லாம் செய்யத்தக்கதாக அவைகளில் நிலைத்திராதவன் எவனோ அவன் சபிக்கப்பட்டவன் என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறதே.

For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தினாலே ஒருவனும் தேவனிடத்தில் நீதிமானாகிறதில்லையென்பது வெளியரங்கமாயிருக்கிறது. ஏனெனில் விசுவாசத்தினாலே நீதிமான் பிழைப்பான் என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறதே.

But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

நியாயப்பிரமாணமோ விசுவாசத்திற்குரியதல்ல; அவைகளைச் செய்கிற மனுஷனே அவைகளால் பிழைப்பான்.

And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

மரத்திலே தூக்கப்பட்ட எவனும் சபிக்கப்பட்டவன் என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறபடி, கிறிஸ்து நமக்காகச் சாபமாகி, நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின் சாபத்திற்கு நம்மை நீங்கலாக்கி மீட்டுக்கொண்டார்.

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

ஆபிரகாமுக்கு உண்டான ஆசீர்வாதம் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவினால் புறஜாதிகளுக்கு வரும்படியாகவும், ஆவியைக்குறித்துச் சொல்லப்பட்ட வாக்குத்தத்தத்தை நாம் விசுவாசத்தினாலே பெறும்படியாகவும் இப்படியாயிற்று.

That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

சகோதரரே, மனுஷர் முறைமையின்படி சொல்லுகிறேன்; மனுஷர்களுக்குள்ளே உறுதிபண்ணப்பட்ட உடன்படிக்கையை ஒருவனும் தள்ளுகிறதுமில்லை, அதினோடே ஒன்றையும் கூட்டுகிறதுமில்லை.

Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.

ஆபிரகாமுக்கும் அவனுடைய சந்ததிக்கும் வாக்குத்தத்தங்கள்பண்ணப்பட்டன; சந்ததிகளுக்கு என்று அநேகரைக்குறித்துச் சொல்லாமல், உன் சந்ததிக்கு என்று ஒருவனைக்குறித்துச் சொல்லியிருக்கிறார், அந்தச் சந்ததி கிறிஸ்துவே.

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

ஆதலால் நான் சொல்லுகிறதென்னவெனில், கிறிஸ்துவை முன்னிட்டு தேவனால் முன் உறுதிபண்ணப்பட்ட உடன்படிக்கையை நானூற்றுமுப்பது வருஷத்திற்குப்பின்பு உண்டான நியாயப்பிரமாணமானது தள்ளி, வாக்குத்தத்தத்தை வியர்த்தமாக்கமாட்டாது.

And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

அன்றியும், சுதந்தரமானது நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தினாலே உண்டானால் அது வாக்குத்தத்தத்தினாலே உண்டாயிராது; தேவன் அதை ஆபிரகாமுக்கு வாக்குத்தத்தத்தினாலே அருளிச்செய்தாரே.

For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

அப்படியானால், நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின் நோக்கமென்ன? வாக்குத்தத்தத்தைப்பெற்ற சந்ததி வருமளவும் அது அக்கிரமங்களினிமித்தமாகக் கூட்டப்பட்டு, தேவதூதரைக்கொண்டு மத்தியஸ்தன் கையிலே கட்டளையிடப்பட்டது.

Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

மத்தியஸ்தன் ஒருவனுக்குரியவனல்ல, தேவனோ ஒருவர்.

Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.

அப்படியானால் நியாயப்பிரமாணம் தேவனுடைய வாக்குத்தத்தங்களுக்கு விரோதமா? அல்லவே; உயிரைக் கொடுக்கத்தக்க நியாயப்பிரமாணம் அருளப்பட்டிருந்ததானால், நீதியானது நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தினால் உண்டாயிருக்குமே.

Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.

அப்படியிராதபடியால், இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவைப் பற்றும் விசுவாசத்தினாலே பலிக்கிற வாக்குத்தத்தம் விசுவாசமுள்ளவர்களுக்கு அளிக்கப்படும்படி வேதம் எல்லாரையும் ஏகமாய்ப் பாவத்தின்கீழ் அடைத்துப்போட்டது.

But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

ஆதலால் விசுவாசம் வருகிறதற்கு முன்னே, வெளிப்படப்போகிற விசுவாசத்திற்கு ஏதுவாக நாம் அடைக்கப்பட்டவர்களாய் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின்கீழ் காவல்பண்ணப்பட்டிருந்தோம்.

But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

இவ்விதமாக, நாம் விசுவாசத்தினாலே நீதிமான்களாக்கப்படுவதற்கு நியாயப்பிரமாணம் நம்மைக் கிறிஸ்துவினிடத்தில் வழிநடத்துகிற உபாத்தியாய் இருந்தது.

Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

விசுவாசம் வந்தபின்பு நாம் உபாத்திக்குக் கீழானவர்களல்லவே.

But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

நீங்களெல்லாரும் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவைப்பற்றும் விசுவாசத்தினால் தேவனுடைய புத்திரராயிருக்கிறீர்களே.

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

ஏனெனில், உங்களில் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள்ளாக ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற்றவர்கள் எத்தனைபேரோ, அத்தனைபேரும் கிறிஸ்துவைத் தரித்துக்கொண்டீர்களே.

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

யூதனென்றும் கிரேக்கனென்றுமில்லை, அடிமையென்றும் சுயாதீனனென்றுமில்லை, ஆணென்றும் பெண்ணென்றுமில்லை; நீங்களெல்லாரும் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்குள் ஒன்றாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

நீங்கள் கிறிஸ்துவினுடையவர்களானால், ஆபிரகாமின் சந்ததியாராயும், வாக்குத்தத்தத்தின்படியே சுதந்தரராயும் இருக்கிறீர்கள்.

And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
