2சாமுவேல் அத்தியாயம் 14

ராஜாவின் இருதயம் அப்சலோமின் மேல் இன்னும் தாங்கலாயிருக்கிறதைச் செருயாவின் குமாரன் யோவாப் கண்டு,

Now Joab the son of Zeruiah perceived that the king's heart was toward Absalom.

அவன் தெக்கோவாவிலிருக்கிற புத்தியுள்ள ஒரு ஸ்தீரியை அழைத்து: நீ இழவு கொண்டாடுகிறவளைப்போல, துக்கவஸ்திரங்களை உடுத்திக்கொண்டு, எண்ணெய் பூசிக்கொள்ளாமல், இறந்து போனவனுக்காக நெடுநாள் துக்கிக்கிற ஸ்திரீயைப் போலக் காண்பித்து,

And Joab sent to Tekoah, and fetched thence a wise woman, and said unto her, I pray thee, feign thyself to be a mourner, and put on now mourning apparel, and anoint not thyself with oil, but be as a woman that had a long time mourned for the dead:

ராஜாவினிடத்தில் போய், அவரை நோக்கி: இன்ன இன்ன பிரகாரமாகச் சொல் என்று அவள் சொல்லவேண்டிய வார்த்தைகளை யோவாப் அவள் வாயிலே போட்டான்.

And come to the king, and speak on this manner unto him. So Joab put the words in her mouth.

அப்படியே தெக்கோவா ஊராளான அந்த ஸ்திரீ ராஜாவோடே பேசப்போய், தரையிலே முகங்குப்புற விழுந்து வணங்கி: ராஜாவே, இரட்சியும் என்றாள்.

And when the woman of Tekoah spake to the king, she fell on her face to the ground, and did obeisance, and said, Help, O king.

ராஜா அவளைப் பார்த்து: உனக்கு என்ன வேண்டும் என்றதற்கு, அவள்: நான் விதவையானவள், என் புருஷன் சென்றுபோனான்.

And the king said unto her, What aileth thee? And she answered, I am indeed a widow woman, and mine husband is dead.

உமது அடியாளுக்கு இரண்டு குமாரர் இருந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் இருவரும் வெளியிலே சண்டைபண்ணி, அவர்களை விலக்க ஒருவரும் இல்லாதபடியினால், ஒருவன் மற்றவனை அடித்துக் கொன்றுபோட்டான்.

And thy handmaid had two sons, and they two strove together in the field, and there was none to part them, but the one smote the other, and slew him.

வம்சத்தார் எல்லாரும் உம்முடைய அடியாளுக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்பி, தன் சகோதரனைக் கொன்று போட்டவனை ஒப்பி; அவன் கொன்ற அவன் சகோதரனுடைய பிராணனுக்காக நாங்கள் அவனைக் கொன்றுபோடுவோம்; சுதந்தரவாளனாயினும் அவனையும் அழித்துப்போடுவோம் என்கிறார்கள். இப்படி என் புருஷனுக்குப் பேரும் நீதியும் பூமியின்மேல் வைக்கப்படாதபடிக்கு, எனக்கு இன்னும் மீதியாயிருக்கிற பொறியையும் அவித்துப்போட மனதாயிருக்கிறார்கள் என்றாள்.

And, behold, the whole family is risen against thine handmaid, and they said, Deliver him that smote his brother, that we may kill him, for the life of his brother whom he slew; and we will destroy the heir also: and so they shall quench my coal which is left, and shall not leave to my husband neither name nor remainder upon the earth.

ராஜா அந்த ஸ்திரீயைப் பார்த்து: நீ உன் வீட்டுக்குப் போ, உன் காரியத்தைக் குறித்து உத்தரவு கொடுப்பேன் என்றான்.

And the king said unto the woman, Go to thine house, and I will give charge concerning thee.

பின்னும் அந்தத் தெக்கோவாவூர் ஸ்திரீ ராஜாவைப் பார்த்து: ராஜாவாகிய என் ஆண்டவனே, ராஜாவின் மேலும் அவர் சிங்காசனத்தின்மேலும் குற்றமில்லாதபடிக்கு, அந்தப் பழி என்மேலும் என் தகப்பன் வீட்டின்மேலும் சுமரக்கடவது என்றாள்.

And the woman of Tekoah said unto the king, My lord, O king, the iniquity be on me, and on my father's house: and the king and his throne be guiltless.

அதற்கு ராஜா: உனக்கு விரோதமாகப் பேசுகிறவனை என்னிடத்தில் கொண்டுவா; அப்பொழுது அவன் இனி உன்னைத் தொடாதிருப்பான் என்றான்.

And the king said, Whosoever saith ought unto thee, bring him to me, and he shall not touch thee any more.

பின்னும் அவள்: இரத்தப்பழி வாங்குகிறவர்கள் அழிம்பு செய்து, என் குமாரனை அதம்பண்ணப் பெருகிப்போகாதபடிக்கு, ராஜாவானவர் தம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை நினைப்பாராக என்றாள். அதற்கு ராஜா: உன் குமாரனுடைய மயிரில் ஒன்றாவது தரையில் விழுவதில்லை என்று கர்த்தரின் ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றான்.

Then said she, I pray thee, let the king remember the LORD thy God, that thou wouldest not suffer the revengers of blood to destroy any more, lest they destroy my son. And he said, As the LORD liveth, there shall not one hair of thy son fall to the earth.

அப்பொழுது அந்த ஸ்திரீ: ராஜாவாகிய என் ஆண்டவனோடே உமது அடியாள் ஒரு வார்த்தை சொல்ல உத்தரவாக வேண்டும் என்றாள். அவன்: சொல்லு என்றான்.

Then the woman said, Let thine handmaid, I pray thee, speak one word unto my lord the king. And he said, Say on.

அப்பொழுது அந்த ஸ்திரீ: பின்னை ஏன் தேவனுடைய ஜனத்திற்கு விரோதமாய் இப்படிப்பட்ட நினைவை நீர் கொண்டிருக்கிறீர், துரத்துண்ட தம்முடையவனை ராஜா திரும்ப அழைக்காததினாலே, ராஜா இப்பொழுது சொன்ன வார்த்தையினால் குற்றமுள்ளவரைப்போல் இருக்கிறார்.

And the woman said, Wherefore then hast thou thought such a thing against the people of God? for the king doth speak this thing as one which is faulty, in that the king doth not fetch home again his banished.

நாம் மரிப்பது நிச்சயம், திரும்பச் சேர்க்கக்கூடாதபடிக்கு, தரையிலே சுவறுகிற தண்ணீரைப்போல் இருக்கிறோம்; தேவன் ஜீவனை எடுத்துக்கொள்ளாமல், துரத்துண்டவன் முற்றிலும் தம்மை விட்டு விலக்கப்படாதிருக்கும் நினைவுகளை நினைக்கிறார்.

For we must needs die, and are as water spilt on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again; neither doth God respect any person: yet doth he devise means, that his banished be not expelled from him.

இப்பொழுதும் நான் என் ஆண்டவனாகிய ராஜாவோடே இந்த வார்த்தையைப் பேசவந்த முகாந்தரம் என்னவென்றால்: ஜனங்கள் எனக்குப் பயமுண்டாக்கினதினால், நான் ராஜாவோடே பேசவந்தேன்; ஒருவேளை ராஜா தமது அடியாளுடைய வார்த்தையின்படி செய்வார் என்று உமது அடியாளாகிய நான் நினைத்ததினாலும் வந்தேனே ஒழிய வேறில்லை.

Now therefore that I am come to speak of this thing unto my lord the king, it is because the people have made me afraid: and thy handmaid said, I will now speak unto the king; it may be that the king will perform the request of his handmaid.

என்னையும் என் குமாரனையும் ஏகமாய் தேவனுடைய சுதந்தரத்திற்குப் புறம்பாக்கி, அழிக்க நினைக்கிற மனுஷனுடைய கைக்குத் தமது அடியாளை நீங்கலாக்கிவிடும்படிக்கு ராஜா கேட்பார்.

For the king will hear, to deliver his handmaid out of the hand of the man that would destroy me and my son together out of the inheritance of God.

ராஜாவாகிய என் ஆண்டவனுடைய வார்த்தை எனக்கு ஆறுதலாயிருக்கும் என்று உமது அடியாளாகிய நான் எண்ணினேன்; நன்மையையும் தீமையையும் கேட்கும்படி, ராஜாவாகிய என் ஆண்டவன் தேவனுடைய தூதனைப் போல இருக்கிறார்; இதற்காக உம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உம்மோடேக்கூட இருக்கிறார் என்றாள்.

Then thine handmaid said, The word of my lord the king shall now be comfortable: for as an angel of God, so is my lord the king to discern good and bad: therefore the LORD thy God will be with thee.

அப்பொழுது ராஜா அந்த ஸ்திரீக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: நான் உன்னிடத்தில் கேட்கும் காரியத்தை நீ எனக்கு மறைக்க வேண்டாம் என்றான். அதற்கு அந்த ஸ்திரீ, ராஜாவாகிய என் ஆண்டவர் சொல்வாராக என்றாள்.

Then the king answered and said unto the woman, Hide not from me, I pray thee, the thing that I shall ask thee. And the woman said, Let my lord the king now speak.

அப்பொழுது ராஜா: இதிலெல்லாம் யோவாப் உனக்கு உட்கையாய் இருக்கவில்லையா என்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு ஸ்திரீ பிரதியுத்தரமாக, ராஜாவாகிய என் ஆண்டவன் சொன்னதற்கெல்லாம் வலது பக்கத்திலாவது இடது பக்கத்திலாவது விலகுவதற்கு ஒருவராலும் கூடாது என்று ராஜாவாகிய என் ஆண்டவனுடைய ஜீவனைக் கொண்டு சொல்லுகிறேன்; உமது அடியானாகிய யோவாப் தான் இதை எனக்குக் கற்பித்து, அவனே இந்த எல்லா வார்த்தைகளையும் உமது அடியாளின் வாயிலே போட்டான்.

And the king said, Is not the hand of Joab with thee in all this? And the woman answered and said, As thy soul liveth, my lord the king, none can turn to the right hand or to the left from ought that my lord the king hath spoken: for thy servant Joab, he bade me, and he put all these words in the mouth of thine handmaid:

நான் இந்தக் காரியத்தை உபமானமாய்ப் பேசுகிறதற்கு உமது அடியானாகிய யோவாப் அதற்குக் காரணமாயிருந்தான்; ஆனாலும் தேசத்தில் நடக்கிறதையெல்லாம் அறிய, என் ஆண்டவனுடைய ஞானம் தேவதூதனுடைய ஞானத்தைப் போல் இருக்கிறது என்றாள்.

To fetch about this form of speech hath thy servant Joab done this thing: and my lord is wise, according to the wisdom of an angel of God, to know all things that are in the earth.

அப்பொழுது ராஜா யோவாபைப் பார்த்து: இதோ, இந்தக் காரியத்தைச் செய்கிறேன், நீ போய் அப்சலோம் என்னும் பிள்ளையாண்டானைத் திரும்ப அழைத்துக்கொண்டுவா என்றான்.

And the king said unto Joab, Behold now, I have done this thing: go therefore, bring the young man Absalom again.

அப்பொழுது யோவாப் தரையிலே முகங்குப்புற விழுந்து வணங்கி, ராஜாவை வாழ்த்தி, ராஜா தமது அடியானுடைய வார்த்தையின்படி செய்ததினால், என் ஆண்டவனாகிய ராஜாவின் கண்களில் எனக்குத் தயைகிடைத்தது என்று இன்று உமது அடியானுக்குத் தெரியவந்தது என்றான்.

And Joab fell to the ground on his face, and bowed himself, and thanked the king: and Joab said, To day thy servant knoweth that I have found grace in thy sight, my lord, O king, in that the king hath fulfilled the request of his servant.

பின்பு யோவாப் எழுந்து, கேசூருக்குப் போய், அப்சலோமை எருசலேமுக்கு அழைத்துக்கொண்டு வந்தான்.

So Joab arose and went to Geshur, and brought Absalom to Jerusalem.

ராஜா: அவன் என் முகத்தைப் பார்க்கவேண்டியதில்லை; தன் வீட்டுக்குத் திரும்பிப் போகட்டும் என்றான்; அப்படியே அப்சலோம் ராஜாவின் முகத்தைப் பார்க்காமல் தன் வீட்டுக்குத் திரும்பிப்போனான்.

And the king said, Let him turn to his own house, and let him not see my face. So Absalom returned to his own house, and saw not the king's face.

இஸ்ரவேலர் அனைவருக்குள்ளும் அப்சலோமைப்போல் சவுந்தரியமுள்ளவனும் மெச்சிக்கொள்ளப்பட்டவனும் இல்லை; உள்ளங்கால் தொடங்கி உச்சந்தலைமட்டும் அவனில் ஒரு பழுதும் இல்லாதிருந்தது.

But in all Israel there was none to be so much praised as Absalom for his beauty: from the sole of his foot even to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him.

அவன் தன் தலைமயிர் தனக்குப் பாரமாயிருப்பதினால் வருஷாந்தரம் சிரைத்துக்கொள்ளுவான்; சிரைக்கும்போது, அவன் தலைமயிர் ராஜாவுடைய நிறையின்படி இருநூறு சேக்கல் நிறையாயிருக்கும்.

And when he polled his head, (for it was at every year's end that he polled it: because the hair was heavy on him, therefore he polled it:) he weighed the hair of his head at two hundred shekels after the king's weight.

அப்சலோமுக்கு மூன்று குமாரரும், தாமார் என்னும் பேர்கொண்ட ஒரு குமாரத்தியும் பிறந்தார்கள்; இவள் ரூபவதியான பெண்ணாயிருந்தாள்.

And unto Absalom there were born three sons, and one daughter, whose name was Tamar: she was a woman of a fair countenance.

அப்சலோம், ராஜாவின் முகத்தைக் காணாமலே, இரண்டு வருஷம் எருசலேமிலே குடியிருந்தான்.

So Absalom dwelt two full years in Jerusalem, and saw not the king's face.

ஆகையால் அப்சலோம் யோவாபை ராஜாவினிடத்தில் அனுப்பும்படி அழைப்பித்தான்; அவனோ அவனிடத்திற்கு வரமாட்டேன் என்றான்; இரண்டாம்விசையும் அவன் அழைத்தனுப்பினான்; அவன் வரமாட்டேன் என்றான்.

Therefore Absalom sent for Joab, to have sent him to the king; but he would not come to him: and when he sent again the second time, he would not come.

அப்பொழுது அவன் தன் வேலைக்காரரைப் பார்த்து: இதோ என் நிலத்திற்கு அருகே யோவாபின் நிலம் இருக்கிறது; அதிலே அவனுக்கு வாற்கோதுமை விளைந்திருக்கிறது; நீங்கள் போய் அதைத் தீக்கொளுத்திப் போடுங்கள் என்றான்; அப்படியே அப்சலோமின் வேலைக்காரர் அந்த நிலத்தை தீக்கொளுத்திப் போட்டார்கள்.

Therefore he said unto his servants, See, Joab's field is near mine, and he hath barley there; go and set it on fire. And Absalom's servants set the field on fire.

அப்பொழுது யோவாப் எழுந்திருந்து, அப்சலோமிடத்தில் வீட்டிற்குள் போய், என்னுடைய நிலத்தை உம்முடைய வேலைக்காரர் தீக்கொளுத்திப்போட்டது என்ன என்று அவனைக் கேட்டான்.

Then Joab arose, and came to Absalom unto his house, and said unto him, Wherefore have thy servants set my field on fire?

அப்சலோம் யோவாபைப் பார்த்து: இதோ, நான் ஏன் கேசூரிலிருந்து வந்தேன்; நான் அங்கே இருந்துவிட்டால் நலம் என்று ராஜாவுக்குச் சொல்லும்படி உம்மை ராஜாவினிடத்தில் அனுப்புவதற்காக உம்மை இங்கே வரும்படி அழைப்பித்தேன்; இப்போதும் நான் ராஜாவின் முகத்தைப் பார்க்கட்டும்; என்மேல் குற்றமிருந்தால் அவர் என்னைக் கொன்றுபோடட்டும் என்றான்.

And Absalom answered Joab, Behold, I sent unto thee, saying, Come hither, that I may send thee to the king, to say, Wherefore am I come from Geshur? it had been good for me to have been there still: now therefore let me see the king's face; and if there be any iniquity in me, let him kill me.

யோவாப் ராஜாவினிடத்தில் போய், அதை அவனுக்கு அறிவித்தபோது, அப்சலோமை அழைப்பித்தான்; அவன் ராஜாவினிடத்தில் வந்து, ராஜாவுக்கு முன்பாகத் தரையிலே முகங்குப்புற விழுந்து வணங்கினான், அப்பொழுது ராஜா அப்சலோமை முத்தமிட்டான்.

So Joab came to the king, and told him: and when he had called for Absalom, he came to the king, and bowed himself on his face to the ground before the king: and the king kissed Absalom.

இதற்குப்பின்பு, அப்சலோம் இரதங்களையும் குதிரைகளையும், தனக்கு முன் ஓட ஐம்பது சேவகரையும் சம்பாதித்தான்.

And it came to pass after this, that Absalom prepared him chariots and horses, and fifty men to run before him.

மேலும் அப்சலோம் காலைதோறும் எழுந்திருந்து, பட்டணத்து வாசலுக்குப் போகிற வழி ஓரத்திலே நின்றுகொண்டு, எவனாகிலும் தனக்கு இருக்கிற வழக்கு முகாந்தரமாய் ராஜாவினிடத்தில் நியாயத்திற்காகப் போகும்போது, அவனை அழைத்து, நீ எந்த ஊரான் என்று கேட்பான்; அவன் உமது அடியான் இஸ்ரவேல் கோத்திரங்களில் ஒன்றுக்கடுத்த இன்ன ஊரான் என்றால்,

And Absalom rose up early, and stood beside the way of the gate: and it was so, that when any man that had a controversy came to the king for judgment, then Absalom called unto him, and said, Of what city art thou? And he said, Thy servant is of one of the tribes of Israel.

அப்பொழுது அப்சலோம் அவனை நோக்கி: இதோ, உன் காரியம் நேர்மையும் நியாயமுமாயிருக்கிறது; ஆனாலும் ராஜாவினிடத்தில் உன் காரியத்தை விசாரிப்பார் ஒருவரும் இல்லை என்பான்.

And Absalom said unto him, See, thy matters are good and right; but there is no man deputed of the king to hear thee.

பின்னும் அப்சலோம்: வழக்கு வியாஜ்யமுள்ளவர்கள் எல்லாரும் என்னிடத்தில் வந்து, நான் அவர்களுக்கு நியாயஞ்செய்யும்படிக்கு, என்னை தேசத்திலே நியாயாதிபதியாக வைத்தால் நலமாயிருக்கும் என்பான்.

Absalom said moreover, Oh that I were made judge in the land, that every man which hath any suit or cause might come unto me, and I would do him justice!

எவனாகிலும் ஒருவன் அவனை வணங்கவரும்போது, அவன் தன் கையை நீட்டி அவனைத் தழுவி, முத்தஞ்செய்வான்.

And it was so, that when any man came nigh to him to do him obeisance, he put forth his hand, and took him, and kissed him.

இந்தப்பிரகாரமாக அப்சலோம் ராஜாவினிடத்தில் நியாயத்திற்காக வரும் இஸ்ரவேலருக்கெல்லாம் செய்து, இஸ்ரவேல் மனுஷருடைய இருதயத்தைக் கவர்ந்துகொண்டான்.

And on this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.

நாற்பது வருஷம் சென்றபின்பு, அப்சலோம் ராஜாவை நோக்கி: நான் கர்த்தருக்குப் பண்ணின என் பொருத்தனையை எப்ரோனில் செலுத்தும்படிக்கு நான் போக உத்தரவுகொடும்.

And it came to pass after forty years, that Absalom said unto the king, I pray thee, let me go and pay my vow, which I have vowed unto the LORD, in Hebron.

கர்த்தர் என்னை எருசலேமுக்குத் திரும்பி வரப்பண்ணினால், கர்த்தருக்கு ஆராதனை செய்வேன் என்று உமது அடியானாகிய நான் சீரியா தேசத்தில் கேசூரிலே குடியிருக்கும்போது, பொருத்தனை பண்ணினேன் என்றான்.

For thy servant vowed a vow while I abode at Geshur in Syria, saying, If the LORD shall bring me again indeed to Jerusalem, then I will serve the LORD.

அதற்கு ராஜா, சமாதானத்தோடே போ என்றான்; அப்பொழுது அவன் எழுந்து எப்ரோனுக்கு போனான்.

And the king said unto him, Go in peace. So he arose, and went to Hebron.

அப்சலோம் இஸ்ரவேல் கோத்திரங்களுக்கெல்லாம் வேவுகாரரை அனுப்பி, நீங்கள் எக்காளத்தொனியைக் கேட்கும்போது, அப்சலோம் எப்ரோனிலே ராஜாவானான் என்று சொல்லுங்கள் என்று சொல்லச்சொல்லி வைத்திருந்தான்.

But Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, As soon as ye hear the sound of the trumpet, then ye shall say, Absalom reigneth in Hebron.

எருசலேமிலிருந்து வரவழைக்கப்பட்ட இருநூறுபேர் அப்சலோமோடே கூடப்போனார்கள்; அவர்கள் வஞ்சகமின்றி அறியாமையினால் போனார்கள்.

And with Absalom went two hundred men out of Jerusalem, that were called; and they went in their simplicity, and they knew not any thing.

அப்சலோம் பலிகளைச் செலுத்தும் போது, தாவீதின் ஆலோசனைக்காரனாகிய அகித்தோப்பேல் என்னும் கீலோனியனையும் அவன் ஊராகிய கீலோவிலிருந்து வரவழைப்பித்தான்; அப்படியே கட்டுப்பாடு பலத்து, ஜனங்கள் அப்சலோமினிடத்தில் திரளாய் வந்து கூடினார்கள்.

And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David's counsellor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.

அதை அறிவிக்கிற ஒருவன் தாவீதினிடத்தில் வந்து, இஸ்ரவேலில் ஒவ்வொருவருடைய இருதயமும் அப்சலோமைப் பற்றிப்போகிறது என்றான்.

And there came a messenger to David, saying, The hearts of the men of Israel are after Absalom.

அப்பொழுது தாவீது எருசலேமிலே தன்னிடத்திலுள்ள தன்னுடைய எல்லா ஊழியக்காரரையும் நோக்கி: எழுந்து ஓடிப்போவோம், இல்லாவிட்டால் நாம் அப்சலோமுக்குத் தப்ப இடமில்லை; அவன் தீவிரித்து நம்மிடத்தில் வந்து, நம்மைப் பிடித்து, நம்மேல் பொல்லாப்பு வரப்பண்ணி, நகரத்தைப் பட்டயக்கருக்கினால் சங்காரம்பண்ணாதபடிக்குத் தீவிரமாய்ப் புறப்படுங்கள் என்றான்.

And David said unto all his servants that were with him at Jerusalem, Arise, and let us flee; for we shall not else escape from Absalom: make speed to depart, lest he overtake us suddenly, and bring evil upon us, and smite the city with the edge of the sword.

ராஜாவின் ஊழியக்காரர் ராஜாவைப் பார்த்து: இதோ, ராஜாவாகிய எங்கள் ஆண்டவன் கட்டளையிடும் காரியத்தையெல்லாம் செய்ய உமது அடியாராகிய நாங்கள் ஆயத்தமாயிருக்கிறோம் என்றார்கள்.

And the king's servants said unto the king, Behold, thy servants are ready to do whatsoever my lord the king shall appoint.

அப்படியே ராஜாவும் அவனுடைய வீட்டார் எல்லாரும் கால்நடையாய்ப் புறப்பட்டார்கள்; வீட்டைக்காக்க ராஜா மறுமனையாட்டிகளாகிய பத்து ஸ்திரீகளைப் பின்வைத்தான்.

And the king went forth, and all his household after him. And the king left ten women, which were concubines, to keep the house.

ராஜாவும் சமஸ்த ஜனங்களும் கால்நடையாய்ப் புறப்பட்டு, சற்றுத்தூரம் போய், ஒரு இடத்திலே தரித்து நின்றார்கள்.

And the king went forth, and all the people after him, and tarried in a place that was far off.

அவனுடைய ஊழியக்காரர் எல்லாரும், கிரேத்தியர் யாவரும், பிலேத்தியர் யாவரும் அவன் பக்கத்திலே நடந்து போனார்கள்; காத்தூரிலிருந்து கால்நடையாய் வந்திருந்த அறுநூறுபேராகிய கித்தியர் எல்லாரும் ராஜாவுக்கு முன்பாக நடந்தார்கள்.

And all his servants passed on beside him; and all the Cherethites, and all the Pelethites, and all the Gittites, six hundred men which came after him from Gath, passed on before the king.

அப்பொழுது ராஜா கித்தியனாகிய ஈத்தாயைப் பார்த்து: நீ எங்களுடனே கூட வருவானேன்? நீ திரும்பிப்போய், ராஜாவுடனேகூட இரு; நீ அந்நிய தேசத்தான்; நீ உன் இடத்திற்குத் திரும்பிப் போகலாம்.

Then said the king to Ittai the Gittite, Wherefore goest thou also with us? return to thy place, and abide with the king: for thou art a stranger, and also an exile.

நீ நேற்றுதானே வந்தாய்; இன்று நான் உன்னை எங்களோடே நடந்துவரும்படிக்கு அழைத்துக்கொண்டு போகலாமா நான் போகக்கூடிய இடத்திற்குப் போகிறேன்; நீ உன் சகோதரரையும் அழைத்துகொண்டு திரும்பிப்போ; கிருபையும் உண்மையும் உன்னோடே இருப்பதாக என்றான்.

Whereas thou camest but yesterday, should I this day make thee go up and down with us? seeing I go whither I may, return thou, and take back thy brethren: mercy and truth be with thee.

ஆனாலும் ஈத்தாய் ராஜாவுக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: ராஜாவாகிய என் ஆண்டவன் எங்கேயிருப்பாரோ, அங்கே உமது அடியானும், செத்தாலும் பிழைத்தாலும், இருப்பான் என்று கர்த்தருடைய ஜீவனையும் ராஜாவாகிய என் ஆண்டவனுடைய ஜீவனையும் கொண்டு சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றான்.

And Ittai answered the king, and said, As the LORD liveth, and as my lord the king liveth, surely in what place my lord the king shall be, whether in death or life, even there also will thy servant be.

அப்பொழுது தாவீது ஈத்தாயை நோக்கி: நடந்துவா என்றான்; அப்படியே கித்தியனாகிய ஈத்தாயும் அவனுடைய எல்லா மனுஷரும் அவனோடிருக்கிற எல்லாப் பிள்ளைகளும் நடந்துபோனார்கள்.

And David said to Ittai, Go and pass over. And Ittai the Gittite passed over, and all his men, and all the little ones that were with him.

சகல ஜனங்களும் நடந்துபோகிறபோது, தேசத்தார் எல்லாரும் மகா சத்தமாய் அழுதார்கள்; ராஜா கீதரோன் ஆற்றைக் கடந்தான்; ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரும் வனாந்தரத்திற்குப் போகிற வழியே நடந்துபோனார்கள்.

And all the country wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over: the king also himself passed over the brook Kidron, and all the people passed over, toward the way of the wilderness.

சாதோக்கும் தேவனுடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியை அவனோடேகூட இருந்து சுமக்கிற சகல லேவியரும் வந்து, தேவனுடைய பெட்டியை அங்கே வைத்தார்கள்; ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரும் நகரத்திலிருந்து கடந்து தீருமட்டும், அபியத்தார் திரும்பிப்போயிருந்தான்.

And lo Zadok also, and all the Levites were with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God: and they set down the ark of God; and Abiathar went up, until all the people had done passing out of the city.

ராஜா சாதோக்கை நோக்கி: தேவனுடைய பெட்டியை நகரத்திற்குத் திரும்பக் கொண்டுபோ; கர்த்தருடைய கண்களில் எனக்குக் கிருபை கிடைத்ததானால், நான் அதையும் அவர் வாசஸ்தலத்தையும் பார்க்கிறதற்கு, என்னைத் திரும்ப வரப்பண்ணுவார்.

And the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find favour in the eyes of the LORD, he will bring me again, and shew me both it, and his habitation:

அவர்: உன்மேல் எனக்குப் பிரியமில்லை என்பாராகில், இதோ, இங்கே இருக்கிறேன்; அவர் தம்முடைய பார்வைக்கு நலமானபடி எனக்குச் செய்வாராக என்றான்.

But if he thus say, I have no delight in thee; behold, here am I, let him do to me as seemeth good unto him.

பின்னும் ராஜா ஆசாரியனாகிய சாதோக்கை நோக்கி: நீ ஞானதிருஷ்டிக்காரன் அல்லவோ? நீ சமாதானத்தோடே நகரத்திற்குத் திரும்பு; உன் மகன் அகிமாசும் அபியத்தாரின் மகன் யோனத்தானுமாகிய உங்கள் குமாரர் இரண்டுபேரும் உங்களோடேகூடத் திரும்பிப் போகட்டும்.

The king said also unto Zadok the priest, Art not thou a seer? return into the city in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz thy son, and Jonathan the son of Abiathar.

எனக்கு அறிவிக்கிறதற்கு உங்களிடத்திலிருந்து செய்தி வருமட்டும், நான் வனாந்தரத்தின் வெளிகளிலே தரித்திருப்பேன் என்றான்.

See, I will tarry in the plain of the wilderness, until there come word from you to certify me.

அப்படியே சாதோக்கும் அபியத்தாரும் தேவனுடைய பெட்டியை எருசலேமுக்குத் திரும்பக் கொண்டுபோய், அங்கே இருந்தார்கள்.

Zadok therefore and Abiathar carried the ark of God again to Jerusalem: and they tarried there.

தாவீது தன் முகத்தை மூடி, வெறுங்காலால் நடந்து அழுதுகொண்டு, ஒலிவமலையின்மேல் ஏறிப்போனான்; அவனோடிருந்த சகல ஜனங்களும் முகத்தை மூடி அழுதுகொண்டு ஏறினார்கள்.

And David went up by the ascent of mount Olivet, and wept as he went up, and had his head covered, and he went barefoot: and all the people that was with him covered every man his head, and they went up, weeping as they went up.

அப்சலோமோடே கட்டுப்பாடு பண்ணினவர்களுடன் அகித்தோப்பேலும் சேர்ந்திருக்கிறான் என்று தாவீதுக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டபோது, தாவீது: கர்த்தாவே, அகித்தோப்பேலின் ஆலோசனையைப் பயித்தியமாக்கிவிடுவீராக என்றான்.

And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.

தாவீது மலையின் உச்சிமட்டும் வந்து, அங்கே தேவனைப் பணிந்துகொண்டபோது, இதோ, அற்கியனாகிய ஊசாய் தன் வஸ்திரத்தைக் கிழித்துக் கொண்டு, தலையின்மேல் புழுதியைப் போட்டுக்கொண்டவனாய் அவனுக்கு எதிர்ப்பட்டான்.

And it came to pass, that when David was come to the top of the mount, where he worshipped God, behold, Hushai the Archite came to meet him with his coat rent, and earth upon his head:

தாவீது அவனைப் பார்த்து: நீ என்னோடேகூட நடந்துவந்தால் எனக்குப் பாரமாயிருப்பாய்.

Unto whom David said, If thou passest on with me, then thou shalt be a burden unto me:

நீ நகரத்திற்குத் திரும்பிப்போய், அப்சலோமை நோக்கி: ராஜாவே, உம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரனாயிருப்பேன்; முன் நான் உம்முடைய தகப்பனுக்கு ஊழியக்காரனாயிருந்தேன்; இப்போது நான் உமக்கு ஊழியக்காரன் என்றாயேயாகில், எனக்காக அகித்தோப்பேலின் ஆலோசனையை அபத்தமாக்குவாய்.

But if thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; as I have been thy father's servant hitherto, so will I now also be thy servant: then mayest thou for me defeat the counsel of Ahithophel.

உன்னோடே அங்கே சாதோக் அபியத்தார் என்னும் ஆசாரியர்கள் இருக்கிறார்கள் அல்லவா? ராஜாவின் வீட்டிலே பிறக்கிற ஏதேது செய்தி உண்டோ, என்னென்ன கேள்விப்படுகிறாயோ, அதையெல்லாம் சாதோக் அபியத்தார் என்னும் ஆசாரியர்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பாய்.

And hast thou not there with thee Zadok and Abiathar the priests? therefore it shall be, that what thing soever thou shalt hear out of the king's house, thou shalt tell it to Zadok and Abiathar the priests.

அங்கே அவர்களோடே சாதோக்கின் மகன் அகிமாசும், அபியத்தாரின் மகன் யோனத்தானும், அவர்கள் இரண்டு குமாரரும் இருக்கிறார்கள்; நீங்கள் கேள்விப்படுகிற செய்தியையெல்லாம் அவர்கள் வசமாய் எனக்கு அனுப்புவீர்களாக என்றான்.

Behold, they have there with them their two sons, Ahimaaz Zadok's son, and Jonathan Abiathar's son; and by them ye shall send unto me every thing that ye can hear.

அப்படியே தாவீதின் சிநேகிதனாகிய ஊசாய் நகரத்திற்கு வந்தான்; அப்சலோமும் எருசலேமுக்கு வந்தான்.

So Hushai David's friend came into the city, and Absalom came into Jerusalem.

1கொரிந்தியர் அத்தியாயம் 15

அன்றியும், சகோதரரே, நான் உங்களுக்குப் பிரசங்கித்த சுவிசேஷத்தை மறுபடியும் உங்களுக்குத் தெரியப்படுத்துகிறேன்; நீங்களும் அதை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு, அதிலே நிலைத்திருக்கிறீர்கள்.

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

நான் உங்களுக்குப் பிரசங்கித்தபிரகாரமாய், நீங்கள் அதைக் கைக்கொண்டிருந்தால், அதினாலே நீங்கள் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவீர்கள்; மற்றப்படி உங்கள் விசுவாசம் விருதாவாயிருக்குமே.

By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

நான் அடைந்ததும் உங்களுக்குப் பிரதானமாக ஒப்புவித்ததும் என்னவென்றால், கிறிஸ்துவானவர் வேதவாக்கியங்களின்படி நமது பாவங்களுக்காக மரித்து,

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டு, வேதவாக்கியங்களின்படி மூன்றாம்நாளில் உயிர்த்தெழுந்து,

And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

கேபாவுக்கும், பின்பு பன்னிருவருக்கும் தரிசனமானார்.

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:

அதன்பின்பு அவர் ஐந்நூறுபேருக்கு அதிகமான சகோதரருக்கும் ஒரேவேளையில் தரிசனமானார்; அவர்களில் அநேகர் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் இருக்கிறார்கள், சிலர் மாத்திரம் நித்திரையடைந்தார்கள்.

After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

பின்பு யாக்கோபுக்கும், அதன்பின்பு அப்போஸ்தலரெல்லாருக்கும் தரிசனமானார்.

After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.

எல்லாருக்கும் பின்பு, அகாலப்பிறவிபோன்ற எனக்கும் தரிசனமானார்.

And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

நான் அப்போஸ்தலரெல்லாரிலும் சிறியவனாயிருக்கிறேன்; தேவனுடைய சபையைத் துன்பப்படுத்தினதினாலே, நான் அப்போஸ்தலனென்று பேர்பெறுவதற்கும் பாத்திரன் அல்ல.

For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

ஆகிலும் நான் இருக்கிறது தேவகிருபையினாலே இருக்கிறேன்; அவர் எனக்கு அருளிய கிருபை விருதாவாயிருக்கவில்லை; அவர்களெல்லாரிலும் நான் அதிகமாய்ப் பிரயாசப்பட்டேன்; ஆகிலும் நான் அல்ல, என்னுடனே இருக்கிற தேவகிருபையே அப்படிச் செய்தது.

But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

ஆகையால் நானாகிலும் அவர்களாகிலும் இப்படியே பிரசங்கித்துவருகிறோம், நீங்களும் இப்படியே விசுவாசித்திருக்கிறீர்கள்.

Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

கிறிஸ்து மரித்தோரிலிருந்து எழுந்தாரென்று பிரசங்கிக்கப்பட்டிருக்க, மரித்தோரின் உயிர்தெழுதலில்லையென்று உங்களில் சிலர் எப்படிச் சொல்லலாம்?

Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?

மரித்தோரின் உயிர்த்தெழுதலில்லாவிட்டால், கிறிஸ்துவும் எழுந்திருக்கவில்லையே.

But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:

கிறிஸ்து எழுந்திருக்கவில்லையென்றால், எங்கள் பிரசங்கமும் விருதா, உங்கள் விசுவாசமும் விருதா.

And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

மரித்தோர் உயிர்த்தெழாவிட்டால், தேவன் எழுப்பாத கிறிஸ்துவை அவர் எழுப்பினாரென்று நாங்கள் தேவனைக்குறித்துச் சாட்சிசொன்னதினாலே, தேவனுக்காகப் பொய்ச்சாட்சி சொல்லுகிறவர்களாகவும் காணப்படுவோமே.

Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

மரித்தோர் உயிர்த்தெழாவிட்டால், கிறிஸ்துவும் எழுந்திருக்கவில்லை.

For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:

கிறிஸ்து எழுந்திராவிட்டால், உங்கள் விசுவாசம் வீணாயிருக்கும்; நீங்கள் இன்னும் உங்கள் பாவங்களில் இருப்பீர்கள்.

And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் நித்திரையடைந்தவர்களும் கெட்டிருப்பார்களே.

Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.

இம்மைக்காகமாத்திரம் நாம் கிறிஸ்துவின்மேல் நம்பிக்கையுள்ளவர்களாயிருந்தால், எல்லா மனுஷரைப்பார்க்கிலும் பரிதபிக்கப்படத்தக்கவர்களாயிருப்போம்.

If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

கிறிஸ்துவோ மரித்தோரிலிருந்தெழுந்து, நித்திரையடைந்தவர்களில் முதற்பலனானார்.

But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

மனுஷனால் மரணம் உண்டானபடியால், மனுஷனால் மரித்தோரின் உயிர்த்தெழுதலும் உண்டாயிற்று.

For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

ஆதாமுக்குள் எல்லாரும் மரிக்கிறதுபோல, கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் எல்லாரும் உயிர்ப்பிக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

அவனவன் தன்தன் வரிசையிலே உயிர்ப்பிக்கப்படுவான், முதற்பலனானவர் கிறிஸ்து; பின்பு அவர் வருகையில் அவருடையவர்கள் உயிர்ப்பிக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

அதன்பின்பு முடிவு உண்டாகும்; அப்பொழுது அவர் சகல துரைத்தனத்தையும் சகல அதிகாரத்தையும் வல்லமையையும் பரிகரித்து, தேவனும் பிதாவுமாயிருக்கிறவருக்கு ராஜ்யத்தை ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பார்.

Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

எல்லாச் சத்துருக்களையும் தமது பாதத்திற்குக் கீழாக்கிப்போடும்வரைக்கும், அவர் ஆளுகை செய்யவேண்டியது.

For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

பரிகரிக்கப்படுங்கடைசிச் சத்துரு மரணம்.

The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

சகலத்தையும் அவருடைய பாதத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தினாரே; ஆகிலும் சகலமும் அவருக்குக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தப்பட்டதென்று சொல்லியிருக்கும்போது, சகலத்தையும் அவருக்குக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தினவர் கீழ்ப்படுத்தப்படவில்லையென்பது வெளியரங்கமாயிருக்கிறது.

For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.

சகலமும் அவருக்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டிருக்கும்போது, தேவனே சகலத்திலும் சகலமுமாயிருப்பதற்கு, குமாரன் தாமும் தமக்குச் சகலத்தையும் கீழ்ப்படுத்தினவருக்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டிருப்பார்.

And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

மேலும் மரித்தோர் உயிர்த்தெழாவிட்டால், மரித்தவர்களுக்காக ஞானஸ்நானம் பெறுகிறவர்கள் என்ன செய்வார்கள்? மரித்தவர்களுக்காக ஏன் ஞானஸ்நானம் பெறுகிறார்கள்?

Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?

நாங்களும் ஏன் எந்நேரமும் நாசமோசத்திற்கு ஏதுவாயிருக்கிறோம்?

And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?

நான் அநுதினமும் சாகிறேன்; அதை நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவினால் உங்களைக்குறித்து, நான் பாராட்டுகிற மேன்மையைக்கொண்டு சத்தியமாய்ச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

நான் எபேசுவிலே துஷ்டமிருகங்களுடனே போராடினேனென்று மனுஷர் வழக்கமாய்ச் சொல்லுகிறேன்; அப்படிப் போராடினதினாலே எனக்குப் பிரயோஜனமென்ன? மரித்தோர் உயிர்த்தெழாவிட்டால், புசிப்போம் குடிப்போம், நாளைக்குச் சாவோம் என்று சொல்லலாமே?

If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.

மோசம்போகாதிருங்கள்; ஆகாதசம்பாஷணைகள் நல்லொழுக்கங்களைக் கெடுக்கும்.

Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

நீங்கள் பாவஞ்செய்யாமல் நீதிக்கேற்க விழித்துக்கொண்டு, தெளிந்தவர்களாயிருங்கள்; சிலர் தேவனைப்பற்றி அறிவில்லாதிருக்கிறார்களே; உங்களுக்கு வெட்கமுண்டாக இதைச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

ஆகிலும், மரித்தோர் எப்படி எழுந்திருப்பார்கள், எப்படிப்பட்ட சரீரத்தோடே வருவார்களென்று ஒருவன் சொல்வானாகில்,

But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?

புத்தியீனனே, நீ விதைக்கிற விதை செத்தாலொழிய உயிர்க்கமாட்டாதே.

Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:

நீ விதைக்கிறபோது, இனி உண்டாகும் மேனியை விதையாமல், கோதுமை, அல்லது மற்றொரு தானியத்தினுடைய வெறும் விதையையே விதைக்கிறாய்.

And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:

அதற்கு தேவன் தமது சித்தத்தின்படியே மேனியைக் கொடுக்கிறார்; விதை வகைகள் ஒவ்வொன்றிற்கும் அதற்கேற்ற மேனியையே கொடுக்கிறார்.

But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.

எல்லா மாம்சமும் ஒரேவிதமான மாம்சமல்ல; மனுஷருடைய மாம்சம் வேறே, மிருகங்களுடைய மாம்சம் வேறே, மச்சங்களுடைய மாம்சம் வேறே, பறவைகளுடைய மாம்சம் வேறே.

All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

வானத்துக்குரிய மேனிகளுமுண்டு, பூமிக்குரிய மேனிகளுமுண்டு; வானத்துக்குரிய மேனிகளுடைய மகிமையும் வேறே, பூமிக்குரிய மேனிகளுடைய மகிமையும் வேறே;

There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

சூரியனுடைய மகிமையும் வேறே, சந்திரனுடைய மகிமையும் வேறே, நட்சத்திரங்களுடைய மகிமையும் வேறே, மகிமையிலே நட்சத்திரத்துக்கு நட்சத்திரம் விசேஷித்திருக்கிறது.

There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.

மரித்தோரின் உயிர்த்தெழுதலும் அப்படியே இருக்கும். அழிவுள்ளதாய் விதைக்கப்படும், அழிவில்லாததாய் எழுந்திருக்கும்;

So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

கனவீனமுள்ளதாய் விதைக்கப்படும், மகிமையுள்ளதாய் எழுந்திருக்கும்; பலவீனமுள்ளதாய் விதைக்கப்படும், பலமுள்ளதாய் எழுந்திருக்கும்.

It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

ஜென்மசரீரம் விதைக்கப்படும், ஆவிக்குரிய சரீரம் எழுந்திருக்கும்; ஜென்மசரீரமுமுண்டு, ஆவிக்குரிய சரீரமுமுண்டு.

It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

அந்தப்படியே முந்தின மனுஷனாகிய ஆதாம் ஜீவாத்துமாவானான் என்றெழுதியிருக்கிறது; பிந்தின ஆதாம் உயிர்ப்பிக்கிற ஆவியானார்.

And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

ஆகிலும் ஆவிக்குரிய சரீரம் முந்தினதல்ல, ஜென்மசரீரமே முந்தினது; ஆவிக்குரிய சரீரம் பிந்தினது.

Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

முந்தின மனுஷன் பூமியிலிருந்துண்டான மண்ணானவன்; இரண்டாம் மனுஷன் வானத்திலிருந்து வந்த கர்த்தர்.

The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

மண்ணானவன் எப்படிப்பட்டவனோ மண்ணானவர்களும் அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களே; வானத்துக்குரியவர் எப்படிப்பட்டவரோ, வானத்துக்குரியவர்களும் அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களே.

As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

மேலும் மண்ணானவனுடைய சாயலை நாம் அணிந்திருக்கிறதுபோல, வானவருடைய சாயலையும் அணிந்துகொள்ளுவோம்.

And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

சகோதரரே, நான் சொல்லுகிறதென்னவெனில், மாம்சமும் இரத்தமும் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தைச் சுதந்தரிக்கமாட்டாது; அழிவுள்ளது அழியாமையைச் சுதந்தரிப்பதுமில்லை.

Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

இதோ, ஒரு இரகசியத்தை உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கிறேன்; நாமெல்லாரும் நித்திரையடைவதில்லை; ஆகிலும் கடைசி எக்காளம் தொனிக்கும்போது, ஒரு நிமிஷத்திலே, ஒரு இமைப்பொழுதிலே, நாமெல்லாரும் மறுரூபமாக்கப்படுவோம்.

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

எக்காளம் தொனிக்கும், அப்பொழுது மரித்தோர் அழிவில்லாதவர்களாய் எழுந்திருப்பார்கள்; நாமும் மறுரூபமாக்கப்படுவோம்.

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

அழிவுள்ளதாகிய இது அழியாமையையும், சாவுக்கேதுவாகிய இது சாவாமையையும் தரித்துக்கொள்ளவேண்டும்.

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

அழிவுள்ளதாகிய இது அழியாமையையும், சாவுக்கேதுவாகிய இது சாவாமையையும் தரித்துக்கொள்ளும்போது, மரணம் ஜெயமாக விழுங்கப்பட்டது என்று எழுதியிருக்கிற வார்த்தை நிறைவேறும்.

So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

மரணமே! உன் கூர் எங்கே? பாதாளமே! உன் ஜெயம் எங்கே?

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

மரணத்தின் கூர் பாவம், பாவத்தின் பெலன் நியாயப்பிரமாணம்.

The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினாலே நமக்கு ஜெயங்கொடுக்கிற தேவனுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம்.

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

ஆகையால், எனக்குப் பிரியமான சகோதரரே, கர்த்தருக்குள் நீங்கள் படுகிறபிரயாசம் விருதாவாயிராதென்று அறிந்து, நீங்கள் உறுதிப்பட்டவர்களாயும், அசையாதவர்களாயும், கர்த்தருடைய கிரியையிலே எப்பொழுதும் பெருகுகிறவர்களாயும் இருப்பீர்களாக.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
