1இராஜாக்கள் அத்தியாயம் 9

சாலொமோன் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தையும் ராஜ அரமனையையும், தான் செய்யவேண்டும் என்று விரும்பின எல்லாவற்றையும் கட்டி முடித்தபின்பு,

And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all Solomon's desire which he was pleased to do,

கர்த்தர் கிபியோனிலே சாலொமோனுக்குத் தரிசனமானதுபோல, இரண்டாந்தரமும் அவனுக்குத் தரிசனமானார்.

That the LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Gibeon.

கர்த்தர் அவனை நோக்கி: நீ என் சமுகத்தில் செய்த உன் விண்ணப்பத்தையும் உன் வேண்டுதலையும் கேட்டேன்; நீ கட்டின இந்த ஆலயத்தில் என் நாமம் என்றைக்கும் விளங்கத்தக்கதாக, அதைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்கினேன்; என் கண்களும் என் இருதயமும் எந்நாளும் அங்கேயிருக்கும்.

And the LORD said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

நான் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்ட எல்லாவற்றையும் நீ செய்து, என் கட்டளைகளையும் என் நியாயங்களையும் கைக்கொள்ளும்படிக்கு, என் சமுகத்தில் மன உத்தமமும் செம்மையுமாய் உன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீது நடந்ததுபோல நடப்பாயானால்,

And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:

இஸ்ரவேலின் சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் உட்காரும் புருஷன் உனக்கு இல்லாமற்போவதில்லை என்று உன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதோடே நான் சொன்னபடியே, இஸ்ரவேலின் மேலுள்ள உன் ராஜ்யபாரத்தின் சிங்காசனத்தை என்றைக்கும் நிலைக்கப்பண்ணுவேன்.

Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.

நீங்களும் உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளும் என்னைவிட்டுப் பின்வாங்கி, நான் உங்களுக்கு முன்வைத்த என் கற்பனைகளையும் என் கட்டளைகளையும் கைக்கொள்ளாமற்போய், வேறே தேவர்களைச் சேவித்து, அவைகளைப் பணிந்துகொள்வீர்களாகில்,

But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:

நான் இஸ்ரவேலுக்குக் கொடுத்த தேசத்திலே அவர்களை வைக்காதபடிக்கு நிர்மூலமாக்கி, என் நாமம் விளங்க நான் பரிசுத்தமாக்கின இந்த ஆலயத்தை என் சமுகத்தைவிட்டுத் தள்ளுவேன்; அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேல் சகல ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளும் பழமொழியாகவும் வசைச்சொல்லாகவும் இருப்பார்கள்.

Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:

அப்பொழுது உன்னதமாயிருக்கிற இந்த ஆலயத்தைக் கடந்து போகிறவன் எவனும் பிரமித்து, பகிடியாய் ஈசலிட்டு: கர்த்தர் இந்த தேசத்துக்கும் இந்த ஆலயத்துக்கும் இப்படிச் செய்தது என்ன? என்று கேட்பார்கள்.

And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house?

அதற்கு அவர்கள்: தங்கள் பிதாக்களை எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணின தங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை விட்டு. வேறே தேவர்களைப் பற்றிக் கொண்டு, அவர்களை நமஸ்கரித்துச் சேவித்தபடியினால், கர்த்தர் இந்தத் தீங்கையெல்லாம் அவர்கள்மேல் வரப்பண்ணினார் என்று சொல்லுவார்கள் என்றார்.

And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.

சாலொமோன் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயமும் ராஜ அரமனையுமாகிய இரண்டு மாளிகைகளையும் கட்டி நிறைவேற்றுகிற இருபதாம் வருஷம் முடிவிலே,

And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the LORD, and the king's house,

தன்னுடைய விருப்பத்தின்படியெல்லாம் தனக்குக் கேதுருமரங்களையும், தேவதாரி விருட்சங்களையும், பொன்னையும் கொடுத்துவந்த தீருவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஈராமுக்கு, ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் கலிலேயா நாட்டிலுள்ள இருபது பட்டணங்களைக் கொடுத்தான்.

(Now Hiram the king of Tyre had furnished Solomon with cedar trees and fir trees, and with gold, according to all his desire,) that then king Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.

ஈராம் தனக்குச் சாலொமோன் கொடுத்த பட்டணங்களைப் பார்க்கிறதற்குத் தீருவிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு வந்தான்; அவைகளில் அவன் பிரியப்படவில்லை.

And Hiram came out from Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him; and they pleased him not.

அதனாலே அவன்: என் சகோதரனே, நீர் எனக்குக் கொடுத்த இந்தப் பட்டணங்கள் என்ன பட்டணங்கள்? என்றான். அவைகளுக்கு இந்நாள்மட்டும் வழங்கி வருகிறபடி காபூல் நாடு என்று பேரிட்டான்.

And he said, What cities are these which thou hast given me, my brother? And he called them the land of Cabul unto this day.

ஈராம் ராஜாவுக்கு நூற்றிருபது தாலந்து பொன் அனுப்பியிருந்தான்.

And Hiram sent to the king sixscore talents of gold.

பிடித்த அமஞ்சி ஆட்களைக்கொண்டு சாலொமோன் ராஜா தான் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தையும், தன் அரமனையையும், மில்லோவையும், எருசலேமின் மதிலையும், ஆத்சோரையும், மெகிதோவையும், கேசேரையும் கட்டினான்.

And this is the reason of the levy which king Solomon raised; for to build the house of the LORD, and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Jerusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.

கேசேரை ஏன் கட்டினான் என்றால், எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய பார்வோன் புறப்பட்டுவந்து, அந்தக் கேசேர் பட்டணத்தைப் பிடித்து, அதை அக்கினியால் சுட்டெரித்து, அதிலே குடியிருந்த கானானியரைக் கொன்றுபோட்டு, அதைச் சாலொமோனின் மனைவியாகிய தன் குமாரத்திக்குச் சீதனமாகக் கொடுத்திருந்தான்.

For Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up, and taken Gezer, and burnt it with fire, and slain the Canaanites that dwelt in the city, and given it for a present unto his daughter, Solomon's wife.

சாலொமோன் அந்தக் கேசேர்பட்டணத்தையும், கீழ்ப்பெத்தொரோனையும்,

And Solomon built Gezer, and Bethhoron the nether,

பாலாத்தையும், வனாந்தர வெளியிலுள்ள தத்மோரையும்,

And Baalath, and Tadmor in the wilderness, in the land,

தனக்கு இருக்கிற ரஸ்துக்களை வைக்கும் சகல பட்டணங்களையும், இரதங்கள் இருக்கும் பட்டணங்களையும், குதிரை வீரர் இருக்கும் பட்டணங்களையும், எருசலேமிலும் லீபனோனிலும், தான் அரசாண்ட தேசமெங்கும் தனக்கு இஷ்டமானதையெல்லாம் கட்டினான்.

And all the cities of store that Solomon had, and cities for his chariots, and cities for his horsemen, and that which Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.

இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் சங்காரம் பண்ணக்கூடாமல் மீந்திருந்த இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் ஜாதியல்லாத எமோரியர், ஏத்தியர், பெரிசியர், ஏவியர், எபூசியருமான சகல ஜனத்திலும்,

And all the people that were left of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, which were not of the children of Israel,

அவர்களுக்குப் பிறகு தேசத்தில் மீந்திருந்த சகல ஜனங்களுடைய பிள்ளைகளையும், சாலொமோன் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் நடக்கிறதுபோல, அமஞ்சி வேலை செய்ய அடிமைப்படுத்திக்கொண்டான்.

Their children that were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel also were not able utterly to destroy, upon those did Solomon levy a tribute of bondservice unto this day.

இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரில் ஒருவரையும் சாலொமோன் அடிமைப்படுத்தவில்லை; அவர்கள் யுத்தமனுஷரும், அவனுக்குப் பணிவிடைக்காரரும், பிரபுக்களும், சேர்வைக்காரரும், இரதவீரரும், குதிரைவீரருமாயிருந்தார்கள்.

But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no bondmen: but they were men of war, and his servants, and his princes, and his captains, and rulers of his chariots, and his horsemen.

ஐந்நூற்றைம்பதுபேர் சாலொமோனின் வேலையை விசாரித்து, வேலையாட்களைக் கண்காணிக்கிறதற்குத் தலைமையான விசாரிப்புக்காரராயிருந்தார்கள்.

These were the chief of the officers that were over Solomon's work, five hundred and fifty, which bare rule over the people that wrought in the work.

பார்வோனின் குமாரத்தி, தாவீதின் நகரத்திலிருந்து சாலொமோன் தனக்குக் கட்டின தன் மாளிகையிலே குடிவந்தாள்; அப்பொழுது மில்லோவைக் கட்டினான்.

But Pharaoh's daughter came up out of the city of David unto her house which Solomon had built for her: then did he build Millo.

சாலொமோன் கர்த்தரின் ஆலயத்தை முடித்தபின்பு, அவருக்குக் கட்டின பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் வருஷத்தில் மூன்றுமுறை சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளையும் சமாதான பலிகளையும் இட்டு, கர்த்தரின் சந்நிதியில் இருக்கிற பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் தூபங்காட்டிவந்தான்.

And three times in a year did Solomon offer burnt offerings and peace offerings upon the altar which he built unto the LORD, and he burnt incense upon the altar that was before the LORD. So he finished the house.

ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் ஏதோம் தேசத்தில் சிவந்த சமுத்திரக்கரையிலே ஏலோத்துக்குச் சமீபத்திலுள்ள எசியோன்கேபேரிலே கப்பல்களைச் செய்வித்தான்.

And king Solomon made a navy of ships in Eziongeber, which is beside Eloth, on the shore of the Red sea, in the land of Edom.

அந்தக் கப்பல்களில் ஈராம் சமுத்திர யாத்திரையில் பழகின கப்பலாட்களாகிய தன் வேலைக்காரரைச் சாலொமோனுடைய வேலைக்காரரோடேகூட அனுப்பினான்.

And Hiram sent in the navy his servants, shipmen that had knowledge of the sea, with the servants of Solomon.

அவர்கள் ஓப்பீருக்குப்போய், அவ்விடத்திலிருந்து நானூற்று இருபது தாலந்து பொன்னை ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோனிடத்தில் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்.

And they came to Ophir, and fetched from thence gold, four hundred and twenty talents, and brought it to king Solomon.

கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைக்குறித்துச் சாலொமோனுக்கு உண்டாயிருந்த கீர்த்தி சேபாவின் ராஜஸ்திரீக்குக் கேள்வியானபோது, அவள் விடுகதைகளினால் அவனைச் சோதிக்கிறதற்காக,

And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to prove him with hard questions.

மிகுந்த பரிவாரத்தோடும், கந்தவர்க்கங்களையும், மிகுதியான பொன்னையும் இரத்தினங்களையும் சுமக்கிற ஒட்டகங்களோடும், எருசலேமுக்கு வந்தாள்; அவள் சாலோமோனிடத்தில் வந்தபோது, தன் மனதில் இருந்த எல்லாவற்றையுங்குறித்து அவனிடத்தில் சம்பாஷித்தாள்.

And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bare spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.

அப்பொழுது சாலொமோன் அவள் கேட்டவைகளையெல்லாம் விடுவித்தான். அவளுக்கு விடுவிக்கக்கூடாதபடிக்கு, ஒன்றாகிலும் ராஜாவுக்கு மறைபொருளாயிருக்கவில்லை.

And Solomon told her all her questions: there was not any thing hid from the king, which he told her not.

சேபாவின் ராஜஸ்திரீ சாலொமோனுடைய சகல ஞானத்தையும், அவன் கட்டின அரமனையையும்,

And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon's wisdom, and the house that he had built,

அவன் பந்தியின் போஜனபதார்த்தங்களையும், அவன் ஊழியக்காரரின் வீடுகளையும், அவன் உத்தியோகஸ்தரின் வரிசையையும், அவன் வஸ்திரங்களையும், அவனுடைய பானபாத்திரக்காரரையும், அவன் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்துக்குள் பிரவேசிக்கும் நடைமண்டபத்தையும் கண்டபோது அவள் ஆச்சரியத்தால் பிரமைகொண்டு,

And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her.

ராஜாவை நோக்கி: உம்முடைய வர்த்தமானங்களையும் உம்முடைய ஞானத்தையும் குறித்து நான் என் தேசத்தில் கேட்ட செய்தி மெய்யாயிற்று.

And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thy acts and of thy wisdom.

நான் வந்து அதை என் கண்களால் காணுமட்டும் அந்த வார்த்தைகளை நான் நம்பவில்லை; இவைகளில் பாதியாகிலும் எனக்கு அறிவிக்கப்படவில்லை என்று காண்கிறேன்; நான் கேள்விப்பட்ட பிரஸ்தாபத்தைப்பார்க்கிலும், உம்முடைய ஞானமும் செல்வமும் அதிகமாயிருக்கிறது.

Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.

உம்முடைய ஜனங்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்; எப்போதும் உமக்கு முன்பாக நின்று, உம்முடைய ஞானத்தைக் கேட்கிற உம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரரும் பாக்கியவான்கள்.

Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and that hear thy wisdom.

உம்மை இஸ்ரவேலின் சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் வைக்க, உம்மேல் பிரியங்கொண்ட உம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கப்படுவாராக: கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலை என்றைக்கும் சிநேகிக்கிறபடியினால், நியாயமும் நீதியும் செய்கிறதற்கு உம்மை ராஜாவாக ஏற்படுத்தினார் என்றாள்.

Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel: because the LORD loved Israel for ever, therefore made he thee king, to do judgment and justice.

அவள் ராஜாவுக்கு நூற்றிருபது தாலந்து பொன்னையும், மிகுதியான கந்தவர்க்கங்களையும், இரத்தினங்களையும் கொடுத்தாள்; சேபாவின் ராஜஸ்திரீ ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோனுக்குக் கொடுத்த அவ்வளவு கந்தவர்க்கங்கள் பிற்பாடு ஒருக்காலும் வரவில்லை.

And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices very great store, and precious stones: there came no more such abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.

ஓப்பீரிலிருந்து பொன்னைக்கொண்டுவருகிற ஈராமின் கப்பல்களும், ஓப்பீரிலிருந்து மிகுந்த வாசனைமரங்களையும் இரத்தினங்களையும் கொண்டுவந்தது.

And the navy also of Hiram, that brought gold from Ophir, brought in from Ophir great plenty of almug trees, and precious stones.

அந்த வாசனைமரங்களால் ராஜா கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திற்கும் ராஜ அரமனைக்கும் ஊன்றுகால்களையும், சங்கீதக்காரருக்குச் சுரமண்டலங்களையும் தம்புருகளையும் உண்டாக்கினான்; அப்படிப்பட்ட வாசனை மரங்கள் பிற்பாடு வந்ததுமில்லை, இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் காணப்படவுமில்லை.

And the king made of the almug trees pillars for the house of the LORD, and for the king's house, harps also and psalteries for singers: there came no such almug trees, nor were seen unto this day.

ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் தானே சந்தோஷமாய்ச் சேபாவின் ராஜஸ்திரீக்கு வெகுமதிகள் கொடுத்ததும் அல்லாமல், அவள் விருப்பப்பட்டுக் கேட்டது எல்லாவற்றையும் அவளுக்குக் கொடுத்தான்; பின்பு அவள் தன் பரிவாரத்தோடே தன் தேசத்திற்குத் திரும்பிப்போனாள்.

And king Solomon gave unto the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside that which Solomon gave her of his royal bounty. So she turned and went to her own country, she and her servants.

சாலொமோனுக்கு வியாபாரிகளாலும், சுகந்த திரவிய வர்த்தகராலும், அரபிதேசத்து சகல ராஜாக்களாலும், மாகாணங்களின் அதிபதிகளாலும் வந்த பொன்னையல்லாமல்,

Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred threescore and six talents of gold,

ஒவ்வொரு வருஷத்தில் அவனுக்கு வந்த பொன் அறுநூற்று அறுபத்தாறு தாலந்து நிறையாயிருந்தது.

Beside that he had of the merchantmen, and of the traffick of the spice merchants, and of all the kings of Arabia, and of the governors of the country.

சாலொமோன் ராஜா, அடித்த பொன்தகட்டால் இருநூறு பரிசைகளைச் செய்வித்தான்; ஒவ்வொரு பரிசைக்கு அறுநூறு சேக்கல் நிறைபொன் சென்றது.

And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold: six hundred shekels of gold went to one target.

அடித்த பொன்தகட்டால் முந்நூறு கேடகங்களையும் செய்வித்தான்; ஒவ்வொரு கேடகத்திற்கு மூன்று இராத்தல் பொன் சென்றது; அவைகளை ராஜா லீபனோன் வனம் என்னும் மாளிகையிலே வைத்தான்.

And he made three hundred shields of beaten gold; three pound of gold went to one shield: and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.

ராஜா தந்தத்தினால் பெரிய ஒரு சிங்காசனத்தையும் செய்வித்து, அதைப் பசும்பொன்தகட்டால் மூடினான்.

Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with the best gold.

அந்தச் சிங்காசனத்திற்கு ஆறு படிகள் இருந்தது; சிங்காசனத்தின் தலைப்பு பின்னாக வளைவாயிருந்தது; உட்காரும் இடத்திற்கு இருபுறமும் கைச்சாய்மானங்கள் இருந்தது; இரண்டு சிங்கங்கள் கைச்சாய்மானங்கள் அருகே நின்றது.

The throne had six steps, and the top of the throne was round behind: and there were stays on either side on the place of the seat, and two lions stood beside the stays.

ஆறு படிகளின்மேலும், இரண்டு பக்கத்திலும், பன்னிரண்டு சிங்கங்கள் நின்றது; எந்த ராஜ்யத்திலும் இப்படிப் பண்ணப்படவில்லை.

And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps: there was not the like made in any kingdom.

ராஜாவாகிய சாலோமோனுக்கு இருந்த பானபாத்திரங்களெல்லாம் பொன்னும், லீபனோன் வனம் என்கிற மாளிகையின் பணிமுட்டுகளெல்லாம் பசும்பொன்னுமாயிருந்தது; ஒன்றும் வெள்ளியினால் செய்யப்படவில்லை; சாலொமோனின் நாட்களில் வெள்ளி ஒரு பொருளாய் எண்ணப்படவில்லை.

And all king Solomon's drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold; none were of silver: it was nothing accounted of in the days of Solomon.

ராஜாவுக்குச் சமுத்திரத்திலே ஈராமின் கப்பல்களோடேகூடத் தர்ஷீசின் கப்பல்களும் இருந்தது; தர்ஷீசின் கப்பல்கள் மூன்று வருஷத்துக்கு ஒருதரம் பொன்னையும், வெள்ளியையும், யானைத்தந்தங்களையும், குரங்குகளையும், மயில்களையும் கொண்டுவரும்.

For the king had at sea a navy of Tharshish with the navy of Hiram: once in three years came the navy of Tharshish, bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.

பூமியின் சகல ராஜாக்களைப்பார்க்கிலும், ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் ஐசுவரியத்திலும் ஞானத்திலும் சிறந்தவனாயிருந்தான்.

So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom.

சாலொமோனின் இருதயத்திலே தேவன் அருளிய ஞானத்தைக் கேட்கிறதற்காக, சகல தேசத்தாரும் அவன் முகதரிசனத்தைத் தேடினார்கள்.

And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.

வருஷாவருஷம் அவரவர் தங்கள் காணிக்கையாகிய வெள்ளிப்பாத்திரங்களையும், பொற்பாத்திரங்களையும், வஸ்திரங்களையும், ஆயுதங்களையும், கந்தவர்க்கங்களையும், குதிரைகளையும், கோவேறு கழுதைகளையும் கொண்டு வருவார்கள்.

And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armour, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.

சாலொமோன் இரதங்களையும் குதிரைவீரரையும் சேர்த்தான்; அவனுக்கு ஆயிரத்துநானூறு இரதங்கள் இருந்தது, பன்னீராயிரம் குதிரைவீரரும் இருந்தார்கள்; அவைகளை இரதங்கள் வைக்கும் பட்டணங்களிலும், அவர்களை எருசலேமில் தன்னிடத்திலும் வைத்திருந்தான்.

And Solomon gathered together chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, whom he bestowed in the cities for chariots, and with the king at Jerusalem.

எருசலேமிலே ராஜா வெள்ளியைக் கற்கள் போலவும், கேதுருமரங்களைப் பள்ளத்தாக்குகளில் இருக்கும் காட்டத்திமரங்கள்போலவும் அதிகமாக்கினான்.

And the king made silver to be in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars made he to be as the sycomore trees that are in the vale, for abundance.

சாலொமோன் தனக்குக் குதிரைகளையும் புடவைகளையும் எகிப்திலிருந்து அழைப்பித்தான்; ராஜாவின் வர்த்தகர் புடவைகளை ஒப்பந்த விலைக்கிரயத்திற்கு வாங்கினார்கள்.

And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen yarn: the king's merchants received the linen yarn at a price.

எகிப்திலிருந்து வந்த ஒவ்வொரு இரதத்தின் விலை அறுநூறு வெள்ளிக்காசும், ஒவ்வொரு குதிரையின் விலை நூற்றைம்பது வெள்ளிக் காசுமாயிருந்தது; இந்தப்பிரகாரம் ஏத்தியரின் ராஜாக்களெல்லாருக்கும், சீரியாவின் ராஜாக்களுக்கும், அவர்கள் மூலமாய்க் கொண்டுவரப்பட்டது.

And a chariot came up and went out of Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, did they bring them out by their means.

எபேசியர் அத்தியாயம் 1

தேவனுடைய சித்தத்தினாலே இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினுடைய அப்போஸ்தலனாகிய பவுல், எபேசுவிலே கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்குள் விசுவாசிகளாயிருக்கிற பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்கு எழுதுகிறதாவது:

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

நம்முடைய பிதாவாகிய தேவனாலும், கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினாலும், உங்களுக்குக் கிருபையும், சமாதானமும் உண்டாவதாக.

Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் பிதாவாகிய தேவனுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம்; அவர் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் உன்னதங்களிலே ஆவிக்குரிய சகல ஆசீர்வாதத்தினாலும் நம்மை ஆசீர்வதித்திருக்கிறார்.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

தமக்கு முன்பாக நாம் அன்பில் பரிசுத்தமுள்ளவர்களும் குற்றமில்லாதவர்களுமாயிருப்பதற்கு, அவர் உலகத்தோற்றத்துக்குமுன்னே கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் நம்மைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டபடியே,

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

பிரியமானவருக்குள் தாம் நமக்குத் தந்தருளின தம்முடைய கிருபையின் மகிமைக்குப் புகழ்ச்சியாக,

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

தம்முடைய தயவுள்ள சித்தத்தின்படியே, நம்மை இயேசுகிறிஸ்து மூலமாய்த் தமக்குச் சுவிகாரபுத்திரராகும்படி முன்குறித்திருக்கிறார்.

To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

அவருடைய கிருபையின் ஐசுவரியத்தின்படியே இவருடைய இரத்தத்தினாலே பாவமன்னிப்பாகிய மீட்பு இவருக்குள் நமக்கு உண்டாயிருக்கிறது.

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

அந்தக் கிருபையை அவர் சகல ஞானத்தோடும் புத்தியோடும் எங்களிடத்தில் பெருகப்பண்ணினார்.

Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

காலங்கள் நிறைவேறும்போது விளங்கும் நியமத்தின்படி பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிறவைகளும் பூலோகத்திலிருக்கிறவைகளுமாகிய சகலமும் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள்ளே கூட்டப்படவேண்டுமென்று,

Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

தமக்குள்ளே தீர்மானித்திருந்த தம்முடைய தயவுள்ள சித்தத்தின் இரகசியத்தை எங்களுக்கு அறிவித்தார்.

That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

மேலும் கிறிஸ்துவின்மேல் முன்னே நம்பிக்கையாயிருந்த நாங்கள் அவருடைய மகிமைக்குப் புகழ்ச்சியாயிருக்கும்படிக்கு,

In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

தமது சித்தத்தின் ஆலோசனைக்குத்தக்கதாக எல்லாவற்றையும் நடப்பிக்கிற அவருடைய தீர்மானத்தின்படியே நாங்கள் முன்குறிக்கப்பட்டு, கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் அவருடைய சுதந்தரமாகும்படி தெரிந்து கொள்ளப்பட்டோம்.

That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

நீங்களும் உங்கள் இரட்சிப்பின் சுவிசேஷமாகிய சத்திய வசனத்தைக் கேட்டு, விசுவாசிகளானபோது, வாக்குத்தத்தம்பண்ணப்பட்ட பரிசுத்த ஆவியால் அவருக்குள் முத்திரைபோடப்பட்டீர்கள்.

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

அவருக்குச் சொந்தமானவர்கள் அவருடைய மகிமைக்குப் புகழ்ச்சியாக மீட்கப்படுவார்கள் என்பதற்கு ஆவியானவர் நம்முடைய சுதந்தரத்தின் அச்சாரமாயிருக்கிறார்.

Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

ஆனபடியினாலே, கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவின்மேலுள்ள உங்கள் விசுவாசத்தையும், பரிசுத்தவான்களெல்லார்மேலுமுள்ள உங்கள் அன்பையுங்குறித்து நான் கேள்விப்பட்டு,

Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,

இடைவிடாமல் உங்களுக்காக ஸ்தோத்திரம்பண்ணி, என் ஜெபங்களில் உங்களை நினைத்து,

Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் தேவனும் மகிமையின் பிதாவுமானவர் தம்மை நீங்கள் அறிந்துகொள்வதற்கான ஞானத்தையும் தெளிவையும் அளிக்கிற ஆவியை உங்களுக்குத் தந்தருளவேண்டுமென்றும்,

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

தாம் நம்மை அழைத்ததினாலே நமக்கு உண்டாயிருக்கிற நம்பிக்கை இன்னதென்றும், பரிசுத்தவான்களிடத்தில் தமக்கு உண்டாயிருக்கிற சுதந்தரத்தினுடைய மகிமையின் ஐசுவரியம் இன்னதென்றும்;

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

தாம் கிறிஸ்துவை மரித்தோரிலிருந்து எழுப்பி, அவரிடத்தில் நடப்பித்த தமது பலத்த சத்துவத்தின் வல்லமைப்படியே விசுவாசிக்கிறவர்களாகிய நம்மிடத்திலே காண்பிக்கும் தம்முடைய வல்லமையின் மகா மேன்மையான மகத்துவம் இன்னதென்றும், நீங்கள் அறியும்படிக்கு, அவர் உங்களுக்குப் பிரகாசமுள்ள மனக்கண்களைக் கொடுக்கவேண்டுமென்றும் வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறேன்.

And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

எல்லாத் துரைத்தனத்துக்கும், அதிகாரத்துக்கும், வல்லமைக்கும், கர்த்தத்துவத்துக்கும், இம்மையில் மாத்திரமல்ல மறுமையிலும் பேர்பெற்றிருக்கும் எல்லா நாமத்துக்கும் மேலாய் அவர் உயர்ந்திருக்கத்தக்கதாக,

Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

அவரை உன்னதங்களில் தம்முடைய வலதுபாரிசத்தில் உட்காரும்படி செய்து,

Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

எல்லாவற்றையும் அவருடைய பாதங்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தி,

And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

எல்லாவற்றையும் எல்லாவற்றாலும் நிரப்புகிறவருடைய நிறைவாகிய சரீரமான சபைக்கு அவரை எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் மேலான தலையாகத் தந்தருளினார்.

Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

எபேசியர் அத்தியாயம் 2

அக்கிரமங்களினாலும் பாவங்களினாலும் மரித்தவர்களாயிருந்த உங்களை உயிர்ப்பித்தார்.

And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

அவைகளில் நீங்கள் முற்காலத்திலே இவ்வுலக வழக்கத்திற்கேற்றபடியாகவும், கீழ்ப்படியாமையின் பிள்ளைகளிடத்தில் இப்பொழுது கிரியைசெய்கிற ஆகாயத்து அதிகாரப் பிரபுவாகிய ஆவிக்கேற்றபடியாகவும் நடந்துகொண்டீர்கள்.

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

அவர்களுக்குள்ளே நாமெல்லாரும் முற்காலத்திலே நமது மாம்ச இச்சையின்படியே நடந்து, நமது மாம்சமும் மனசும் விரும்பினவைகளைச் செய்து, சுபாவத்தினாலே மற்றவர்களைப்போலக் கோபாக்கினையின் பிள்ளைகளாயிருந்தோம்.

Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

தேவனோ இரக்கத்தில் ஐசுவரியமுள்ளவராய் நம்மில் அன்புகூர்ந்த தம்முடைய மிகுந்த அன்பினாலே,

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

அக்கிரமங்களில் மரித்தவர்களாயிருந்த நம்மைக் கிறிஸ்துவுடனேகூட உயிர்ப்பித்தார்; கிருபையினாலே இரட்சிக்கப்பட்டீர்கள்;

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்குள் அவர் நம்மிடத்தில் வைத்த தயவினாலே, தம்முடைய கிருபையின் மகா மேன்மையான ஐசுவரியத்தை வருங்காலங்களில் விளங்கச்செய்வதற்காக,

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்குள் நம்மை அவரோடேகூட எழுப்பி, உன்னதங்களிலே அவரோடேகூட உட்காரவும் செய்தார்.

That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

கிருபையினாலே விசுவாசத்தைக் கொண்டு இரட்சிக்கப்பட்டீர்கள்; இது உங்களால் உண்டானதல்ல, இது தேவனுடைய ஈவு;

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

ஒருவரும் பெருமைபாராட்டாதபடிக்கு இது கிரியைகளினால் உண்டானதல்ல;

Not of works, lest any man should boast.

ஏனெனில், நற்கிரியைகளைச் செய்கிறதற்கு நாம் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்குள் சிருஷ்டிக்கப்பட்டு, தேவனுடைய செய்கையாயிருக்கிறோம்; அவைகளில் நாம் நடக்கும்படி அவர் முன்னதாக அவைகளை ஆயத்தம்பண்ணியிருக்கிறார்.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

ஆனபடியினால் முன்னே மாம்சத்தின்படி புறஜாதியாராயிருந்து, மாம்சத்தில் கையினாலே செய்யப்படுகிற விருத்தசேதனமுடையவர்களால் விருத்தசேதனமில்லாதவர்களென்னப்பட்ட நீங்கள்,

Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

அக்காலத்திலே கிறிஸ்துவைச் சேராதவர்களும், இஸ்ரவேலுடைய காணியாட்சிக்குப் புறம்பானவர்களும், வாக்குத்தத்தத்தின் உடன்படிக்கைகளுக்கு அந்நியரும், நம்பிக்கையில்லாதவர்களும், இவ்வுலகத்தில் தேவனற்றவர்களுமாயிருந்தீர்களென்று நினைத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.

That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

முன்னே தூரமாயிருந்த நீங்கள் இப்பொழுது கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்குள் கிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தத்தினாலே சமீபமானீர்கள்.

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

எப்படியெனில், அவரே நம்முடைய சமாதான காரணராகி, இருதிறத்தாரையும் ஒன்றாக்கி, பகையாக நின்ற பிரிவினையாகிய நடுச்சுவரைத் தகர்த்து,

For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

சட்டதிட்டங்களாகிய நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தைத் தம்முடைய மாம்சத்தினாலே ஒழித்து, இருதிறத்தாரையும் தமக்குள்ளாக ஒரே புதிய மனுஷனாகச் சிருஷ்டித்து, இப்படிச் சமாதானம்பண்ணி,

Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

பகையைச் சிலுவையினால் கொன்று, அதினாலே இருதிறத்தாரையும் ஒரே சரீரமாக தேவனுக்கு ஒப்புரவாக்கினார்.

And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

அல்லாமலும் அவர் வந்து, தூரமாயிருந்த உங்களுக்கும், சமீபமாயிருந்த அவர்களுக்கும், சமாதானத்தைச் சுவிசேஷமாக அறிவித்தார்.

And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

அந்தப்படியே நாம் இருதிறத்தாரும் ஒரே ஆவியினாலே பிதாவினிடத்தில் சேரும் சிலாக்கியத்தை அவர் மூலமாய்ப் பெற்றிருக்கிறோம்.

For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

ஆகையால், நீங்கள் இனி அந்நியரும் பரதேசிகளுமாயிராமல், பரிசுத்தவான்களோடே ஒரே நகரத்தாரும் தேவனுடைய வீட்டாருமாயிருந்து,

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

அப்போஸ்தலர் தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் என்பவர்களுடைய அஸ்திபாரத்தின்மேல் கட்டப்பட்டவர்களுமாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்; அதற்கு இயேசுகிறிஸ்து தாமே மூலைக்கல்லாயிருக்கிறார்;

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

அவர்மேல் மாளிகை முழுவதும் இசைவாய் இணைக்கப்பட்டு, கர்த்தருக்குள் பரிசுத்த ஆலயமாக எழும்புகிறது;

In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

அவர்மேல் நீங்களும் ஆவியினாலே தேவனுடைய வாசஸ்தலமாகக் கூட்டிக்கட்டப்பட்டு வருகிறீர்கள்.

In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
